I'm not buying it. Look at his game tape from college. He has to have a virtual tunnel to run through to be productive. He is good on the perimeter and in space, but he falls fast after contact and he can really only take what the defense gives him. With Atlantas terrible oline I just can't see him being productive up the middle. Will he have a role in the offense? Sure. Will he be the next Michael Turner? No way.

I realize it's just the preseason against a rookie QB making his NFL debut...

But I was very encouraged by the effort tonight.

2 sacks, 3 turnovers, and Matt and Julio had a very workmanlike march down the field for an opening drive TD.

The year we went to the NFCCG, it seemed like we scored opening drive TD's almost every game, good to be getting back to that.

The backups looked sloppy and blew the game, but I have no concerns about the first teamers.

Maponga got another sack. I'd just assumed he'd continue to be worthless, but maybe he's figuring it out in his 3rd season.

I had hoped the preseason would shed some light on the RB situation, but it's a mess as far as I can tell. I wouldn't go near the Falcons RB's for fantasy until we get some clarity.

QB Rex Grossman is interested in the #Falcons. Not the other way around. Team is happy with Yates and Renfree.
