I remember saying that the hitting coach is garbage and needs to be fired as this offense is pathetic and once the pitching allows more than a run we would be in a trouble. Pitching doesn't even need to regress much since allowing 2-3 runs will be enough. Or Wren can think we can keep winning 1-0 2-1 every game, especially in the playoffs against top aces.

So Chris Johnson got an extension apparently...3/23.5 with a 10 mil team option in 2018. Seems ok I guess. Don't think we really had much of a choice actually. Salcedo hasn't developed..La Stella can't be moved because he's taking Uggla's spot..mid-market team that already shot it's wad on other signings - no signing big upgrades. Oh well. CJ is a pretty safe bet b/c of his offense with his batted ball profile etc I think. If that ever changes tho god help us.

Sending Freeman there is just as bad as ever asking Heyward to bunt

I mean these aren't even questions of old school vs new

A guy can't do what you're asking him to do and you're not ever even going to luck into something good coming from it. How often do you think Freeman is even going to advance an extra base if Gattis had gotten a hit.
