I'm sorry I am just no good at fantasy baseball. And it only took a few weeks last year until I forgot I had a team. I did check it more than some though because I didn't get last!

I can't do fantasy baseball. I have failed every year since tenth grade (used to run yahoo public league in seventh to tenth grade tho). It's just way too much work. Also, last time I tried I ended up with like 8 cy young awards and the worst staff in the league bc I was years behind.

That said, if league ends up with weekly and not daily roster moves I will join but is rather people from other parts of the forum join before me. Maybe a 12 team league of Yankees and braves fans with a Yankees division and braves division? That would be elite.

Actually that would be pretty cool

Hey guys. I've never posted in the thread in the past, but I'm a Braves fan and I'm interested in this league. I tend to agree with CalledDownLight on daily moves/FA auctions, but willing to try anyway if it stays that way.

Yea I was thinking it would be cool to involve the regs from another thread but wasn't sure how to do it. Separate divisions would be sweet.

I'd also be fine with weekly transactions. Whatever it takes to get a full, competitive league.

Kpr, sorry but I'm trying to keep it to people we know. We're glad you're here though, welcome to the thread and Go Braves!

So we have 5 Braves fans now... I'd be cool with opening it up to another thread and playing against 5 Yankee fans or whomever. I could add a division and there'd be one division of Braves fans and one of Yankees fans. Or 6 and 6 if we get enough interest.

I'm really not a fan of weekly transactions.

If we like the idea of a forum challenge, I'll make a post in the Yankees thread.

Daily transactions freaking sucks. We aren't in college anymore. Who has the time for that?

What I hate about weekly lineups is how it makes you handle your pitching staff. Especially if you fill your bench with starting pitchers, you can only start the number of pitching roster spots you have in a week. Some pitchers have two-start weeks, which changes everything. And if you have closers, that only takes away from the number of SP you can start.

Daily is so much better because you can stream starters.

It's really not that difficult to manage daily transactions. I'm going to be in 6-8 daily fantasy baseball leagues this year (yes I may have a problem), and I can bang out all my league moves in less than 15 minutes two times a week. Here's my minimum routine to stay on top of roster moves:

All you have to do is check your lineup on Monday and Thursday. Those are the only two potential off-days for MLB during the regular season, and is what usually causes projected starters possibly not starting. The projected starters is usually accurate if you're only talking 3-4 days out instead of 5-7 days out. So check your lineup on Monday, start all your pitchers through Thursday. Check your lineup on Thursday, and start all your pitchers through next Monday.

Plus I'd hate to have a position player go down with injury and start a nothing for 6 days.

+1 ugh about Medlen.

I saw the .gif of his last two pitches, the way he grabbed his elbow and jogged to the dugout sure didn't look good.

The official word is "forearm strain" and he'll be re-evaluated Monday. Anything less than Tommy John surgery would be a win at this point, but I'm not too optimistic.

What if I start an espn league with weekly transactions? Will ppl be interested in that? I can't do daily but will do weekly.

I prefer weekly because it doesn't reward people for being overactive

Medlen yesterday
Beachy today
I wonder who goes down with arm soreness tomorrow

I was kidding. Garcia was initially competing for the 5th spot, but now it seems he'll likely make the rotation by default simply due to his experience and the age of our rotation, even if a guy like Hale has a spectacular spring imo.

TJ could listen to his constituents and change it to weekly since literally everyone but him prefers it. Totalitarianism FTW!

Ok, fine, fine, I changed it to weekly lineup changes.

I took away 2 bench spots and gave them to pitchers as well, so we have 12 P spots.

Pm me your email address if you're in, Angerpush

Medlen going to get 2nd/3rd opinions. Tests came back inconclusive but there's definitely damage..they just don't know the extent.

What a cluster**** this is turning into. If this forces our hand with Santana i'm going to be quite perturbed...what like 4/40 plus our 1st round pick? **** that

Yeah I really hope we don't go after Santana, in addition to the pick we'd give up, he kinda sucks.
