He's pretty good. Move is perplexing though. Bullpen is already solid and full and that's without Venters. Sounds like someone else is hurt or getting traded or something?

This is getting kind of absurd.

I know it's only been a few games and all, but you can't really be anything but extremely impressed.

What do even do when McCann gets back?

I guess you keep him on the roster, but then Schafer hits waivers - not that that is a huge deal but it is a small cost. Then he gets a start a week and PH's every chance he gets the other games? He can DH the few games we play in the AL?

I don't even know. Laird becomes useless other than allowing Fredi the opportunity to PH with Gattis and still have a catcher available.

Schafer has to be the one to go imo. Constanza/Parraz/Cunningham are all capable of stepping in if need be.

I'm trying so hard to temper my expectations for this team and not get too excited about a 9 game sample against three average to very bad teams...

Have to get on base more. Pitching won't sustain as we start playing real teams. Hitting just has to get much better
