Haha well I'm definitely shipping the league so I guess we'll see!

If you're not there it will auto-pick your team, so you'll still have some blue-chip talent and an arguably fair team. But drafts are the most fun part of the league so we'd appreciate it if you dropped by!

Pm me your email addresses and I'll invite you to the league.

Lets set a firm time/date by Sat the 23rd because I have 4 pay leagues drafting the next week and I still need to set the times for them. One is already set for Thursday the 28th at 8:00 pm so that's no good for me. The date you have now is good.

Nice. Didnt he adjust he delivery recently? Seems I read he did. Really need him as a solid 4 or 5.

Seems like he's been dominant ever since the Braves gave up on changing his delivery late last season. Not sure about any more recent changes.

In 28 at-bats, #Braves Gattis is slugging .857. He's 13-for-28 (.464) with five doubles, 2 homers, team-high 10 RBIs.

I have a man crush on this dude for some reason

Baseball Ref has a new "Quality of Opposing Pitchers Faced" stat for their Spring Training stats so you can put the numbers into a bit more context.

Gattis OppQual is 8.6.

The stat is measured on a sliding scale with 10 = MLB and 8 = AAA and 7 = AA, etc.

So, it's not like he's crushing lower minors guys, but let's remember he's not doing this against MLB quality pitching.

Still excited to see what he can do.

Long time Braves fan here, but I don't bet much on sports. So heading to Vegas this weekend for my bachelor party, and I want to place two bets - one is obviously the Braves winning the world series. The second, the Houston Astros to win the world series. I know the Astros bet is a waste of money, but I love the fact that they're projected to be 300-1 on some online sites I've seen, essentially throwing down $5 for the chance to win $1500, plus it makes me care about another team this season besides just the Braves.

So my question to you guys is, what casino in vegas will I find the best odds for placing these bets? I doubt I'll find too much better than 18-1 on the Braves and googling around it seems I might get 100-1 on the Astros, but aside from calling all the sportsbooks in Vegas how do I find the one that's laying the best odds?

Yeah don't bet on the Astros. I like rooting for a longshot more than anyone, but betting on the Astros is lighting money on fire.

If you want that longshot sweat I'd bet on a team like the Indians. They at least have a chance to get into the playoffs if the Tigers have a few injuries.

The Astros are literally built to get the worst record. That is their goal and they will be managed accordingly.

As far what book will have the best odds, it will probably be very similar wherever you go. I'm not sure they'll all have MLB futures up, but most of the big ones would.

I'd just go to Caesars, Aria, Bellagio, etc. The bigger places will be fine.

1. TJ Eckleburg12
2. hard2tel
3. tdomeski
4. Borgland
5. Angerpush
6. Pwn_Master
7. Sandviper
8. iBOOBOO
9. ec_outlaw
10. PocketChads

Sandviper's buddy bosox is the first alternate if ec_outlaw can't join.

Or we could open it to 12. I kinda like 10 though, think it's the right number

I must have some settings off on my computer. Wasn't having any luck joining the league, but switched to a different computer and joined up with no problems.

He was late because he was the last player investigated in the roid scandal in the D.R. Found him clean obviously.

I hope Gattis can handle coming off the bench in the majors. Almost wish he would start AAA for the max at-bats and then call up for injury/roster expansion. Use Schafer until then or he implodes whichever comes first.
*Gattis has options Jordan has none, though it's doubtful he would be claimed if optioned.

Maholm looked good last start.
