Honestly if we keep playing the way we are, I won't be that upset even if the Mets pass us. We're headed to .600 and that's pretty much all you can ask for going into the break. We just need to keep taking 2/3 against quality teams, and worry about the race later.

It's hard to remember sometimes that the season is so long...we're still not even 70 games in. The Mets being in first place wouldn't mean much at this point just like the Braves being on top right now doesn't mean much. What matters is that both teams are putting themselves in great position to challenge for a playoff spot in the 2nd half. Especially the Braves

Never felt like KC had a shot this game for some reason even though it was close throughout. I've really enjoyed watching this team so far this season...just a great bunch.

For the love of god let Melky keep the starting CF job when McLouth comes back. And please give Heyward some time off if that would help his thumb. I'm not sure if it's just one of those things where 3-4 days of rest wont make a difference but it's tough watching him at the plate right now...knowing what he's capable of.

If this happens, I will legitimately be worried about the Mets. So frustrating winning so much and not gaining any ground. Must be the same for the Mets and to lesser extent Phillies fans.

Obviously true, but this doesn't stop me from constantly refreshing scores on Braves, Mets, and Phillies games.

Martin the hitting machine leads the majors with 98 hits. Incredible.

Prado is pretty nasty, I'm not sure why I've always felt like he was overproducing for almost 3 years, but I'm starting to think I was wrong.

The guy's got an .820 OPS and .315 AVG for more than 1000 career AB's.

He might not even be playing that much better than expectation right now.

Yeah, a 3-way race like this makes the middle of the season way more compelling.

There seem to be more good races across MLB than usual this year--3 divisions have 3 teams within a few games of the top. It's pretty close in every division.

Hopefully it stays like this until the end (except in the NL East ldo, where I'd be happy with Atlanta taking off in August). The end of the season is awesome with a lot of close races across baseball.

I'd like to see a team in the NL west and NL central run away and everyone else suck so the NL east teams can have an easier path to the wildcard

Amazing...got home just as the game was ending.

Also, what a soulcrushing defeat for the Phils. That's the type of game I would remember for at least a year.

Glaus is easily the most underpaid player in all of baseball. Hell of a steal and a job well done Wren!!
