Don't underestimate Lowe's run-good factor. The guy is 8-4, and hasn't pitched all that much better than Kawakami.

Fangraphs says Lowe was worth $12 million last year and had been worth $3.5 million this year up until this crap start. Does that seem way off, or am I just really underestimating the value of average pitching?

I think the market overestimates the value of proven average pitching.

Supposedly the Yanks were the only option we had to move Vazquez after he pitched like a top 15-20 pitcher in all of baseball last year, and he was pretty cheap at 11.5M.

The market is pretty much ****ed, and nobody wants to take on an old expensive pitcher's contract, unless we pick up half the tab, or find ourselves an idiot GM.

Seriously, what the heck? Should have been more patient, considering the amount of balls that Qualls was throwing. GRRRRR that kid frustrates me. And as good as he's been doing with singles and RBI's, he is pretty much the reason they kept the bases loaded in the 5th with his bad throw. However, all my boys are pretty guilty considering the amount of men left on base. Thank God Philly lost.

I forgot about that flip to Prado that Yunel messed up. But just getting to that ball saved a run..even though it eventually scored anyway. Would of been a sick play for sure if he made it.

I thought his approach was ok in that last AB. He took a ball and then hit what would of been a strike hard the other way.. it just happened to be right at the 2nd basemen. Obv after the fact it's easy to second guess though. His approach in general is a bit frustrating but that's Yunel.

All these injuries couldn't of come at a worse time. Hopefully we can get through this tough stretch without losing too many games. It helps that Philly is playing terrible
