I would be really happy if he starts producing.

The Phils being only 4.5 back after being 8 back at one point really pisses me off. This is why people don't understand why I get mad about us losing one game. That's how it starts! And I read on MLB.com mobile today that Wren is looking more for a relief pitcher than trading McLouth. I felt indifferent after reading the article. It points out that he may use Blanco/Cabrera in CF more but unfortunately I'm not too optimistic. As much as I'd like them to eat his contract I'm wary. But if he keeps putting him in, we will lose games. We just lost 3 of 5 since him being back. Know it's only a few games but like I stated earlier, those games can be the difference. Here is the article: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?...=.jsp&c_id=mlb

I would love to trade him too, but this isn't 1998 and you can't just move an under-producing salary such as McLouth's.

I'm not sure anyone is buying at this point, so we're basically stuck with him.

Ducks head.....
It was even a good at-bat , but he ran very bad - at least an improvement over his other pathetic PAs.

He's prolly gonna start feeling the heat now - even Joe Simpson was analyzing his at-bats trying to see what he's doing wrong.

I don't like him, but he can't stay this bad...............

God please don't let him stay this bad (on our team at least).

So depressing...I have an awful feeling about these next few games... Phils have the effin D Bags at home, and we are on the road vs. their 2 best pitchers and LOWE on Sunday. Cannot cannot CANNOT wait til they are back home. I hope the Phils start sucking but now they have confidence/momentum while we have doubt/inconsistency (McLouth, bullpen) so we have to be careful!!!

Settle down with the bullpen talk sweetcheeks.

Our pen has been amazing, sure we give it up every now and again but this is baseball not chess.

Obv McLouth leaves a lot to the imagination, but you can't just talk **** about the pen and expect to get away with it .

I don't think we should overreact about the Marlins series. We outhit them and outscored them, and there was generally so much strange stuff that happened to both teams either of us could have easily ended up swept.

I mean, in the last game we had bases loaded four times with <2 outs and only managed one run. That's pretty bad negative variance even if your whole lineup has a .250 OBP.

Gonna be at every game this series. If you see a dude with a road (blue) Heyward Jersey and cap in the stands, that's me! Super excited, especially for Hanson-Strasburg tonight, first time I'll be seeing the Braves this season.

Damn. That's pretty rough, I knew we were struggling with runners on base, but damn, that's pretty rough.

awesome, have fun!

I agree about not overreacting to the Marlins series, lol variance. Unfortunately it's down to a 4.5 game lead & we face Stras & they have Hamels going

Hopefully we can keep playing well with a small lead, because I expect this to be a dog fight.

Braves extended David Ross today for two years. Looks like a little over $3 mil total, which seems fine.

Please refuse assignment Nate. Doubtful with 8-9 million or so left on his contract.

At least they made the decision. I figured they would just bench him because he makes so much money. Might come back up when the rosters expand.

Excellent. Hope it's not a sign and trade though. There's been a lot of interest in Ross since he could start on a lot of teams.

Wow they sent him down?

I never would have expected that, hopefully he gets it together down there and can give us something for the playoff stretch.

Yeah that would be the best case: he just makes some adjustments and can suddenly bat .260. I'd settle for that no problem.

If he refuses assignment, he collects the $8-9 million and becomes a FA. Ballsy move by the Braves.

Nevermind, it looks he still had an option left, so they optioned him down instead of designated him for assignment. Think that means he has to go, and that's that.
