Yeah, it looked pretty bad going into the 8th. But we already used our long relievers early. Who do we have left? Hessler and Ziegler? Just looked, I guess Hudson as well. All three of them already pitched last night.

He literally couldn't have played that worse. Why did he stop running when he got to the warning track? Looked like it was catchable? Inciarte or Peralta make that play.

Remember back when Goldy was good at baseball? Yeah, those were fun times. Now he can't catch up to 90 mph fastballs. He's gotta be hurt. He's got absolutely no power and looks completely over matched every at bat.

And another stellar outing from Corbin. How is it possible to have such a horrible pitching staff? I mean, nobody can give us any kind of consistency.....besides consistently bad.

Its only a matter of time before Pollock has a higher batting average than Goldschmidt. If it wasn't for his cocky attitude Pollock would easily be my favorite player.

There's not really any of our position players I dislike.....except maybe Tomas. And it's not that I don't like him, I just don't like him being our 4th best outfielder but getting 11 million a year for 5 more years. I really like Pollock, Inciarte, Peralta, Lamb, and Castillo. Luke warm on Owings and Ahmed. But I'd love to see Tomas shipped out.

Do you think any of the guys listed above will get locked up to 4-5 year deals anytime soon? It seems like some of them should.

But in all seriousness, Goldy is obviously slumping. He will find his stride again. Amazingly he is still only two RBIs short of the NL lead.

If you would've told me Goldy's numbers would be what they were the past month and a half and the Dbacks would still be hanging around .500, I would've called bull****. It's been great to see so many other guys get hot and pick him up. I think this team is just a few pieces away from being a contender next year.

They were teasing that a pitcher was going to NY. I was like, that doesn't make sense unless it is Ziegler or Reed since they have the biggest contracts. Then I was like, wait a second, it has to be someone to clear waivers, so that isn't Ziegler, so I was happy it was likely Reed. And I was right!!!
