Week 5 fantasy football sit/start

Starting early cause the TNF game has a lot of implications:

PPR, 1 RB and 1 Flex

Gillislee @TB
Smallwood vs AZ
Austin Seferian Jenkins @CLE

Agholor vs AZ

Leaning Smallwood and ASJ, both have the safest floor methinks?

PPR, 1 WR and 1 flex

Kearse @CLE
Smallwood vs AZ

Lockett @LA
J Allen @OAK

Also leaning Smalls and Kearse for floor, but could be convinced otherwise

6pt Passing TDs:

D Watson vs KC
Palmer @ PHI

Hard to pass up Watson off that game, but matchup would have me leaning Palmer, who quite frankly, I can't stand playing anymore.

Defense check

NE @TB
PHI vs AZ

Have Philly in, but those TNF games are so ripe for terrible play and defensive TDs. Just need to be talked down.

Why would anybody even own NE defense?

They might be on pace to be the worst pass defense of all time

Re: Week 5 fantasy football sit/start

Well, a) it's a really deep league where all but 3 are owned, b) you don't get penalized for yardage, they're about average fantasy wise, and c) outscored fantasy points wise PHI the last 2 weeks. Also d) my real D, Denver, is on a bye

Yuck. Probably brisett, he looked half decent in the first half and the jets kind of looked like a reasonable defense last week. Really no one else on waivers?

Eagles - Chiefs don't turn the ball over much, while Palmer throws a good number of INTs and is also fairly sack prone.

Agree with the two bolds. Allen could run all over Oakland, but he could also get less than 5 touches again, while Smallwood should get at least 10-15 touches.

nope. Maybe McCown or Hoyer but that'd be it. It's a dynasty league with deep rosters, and I was going into the year with Luck/Tannehill as my QBs.

Re: Week 5 fantasy football sit/start

Anybody diving in with Doug Martin v NE this week?

TB has been noncommittal about his role and with Thurs game he may only get in 1-2 practices.

Only other options are Jacquizz, Marvin Jones v CAR or John Brown @ PHL

Think I go Funchess because Slay will cover Kelvin and too many mouths for Cards

Re: Week 5 fantasy football sit/start

Need 1 RB and 1 flex (non-PPR):

Blount vs ARI
Smallwood vs ARI

Landry vs TEN
Funchess @ DET

Leaning Smallwood as Arizona's run defense is tough, so think his advantage in passing game give him the edge.

Landry has been pretty mediocre, but Titans' have been horrendous against the pass and Carolina/Funchess only good game has been against the Pats.

Re: Week 5 fantasy football sit/start

PPR, pick 2

Gillislee @TB
Smallwood vs AZ
Austin Seferian Jenkins @CLE
Agholor vs AZ

Have Gillislee and Smallwood in right now, but ASJ has a really nice floor

Re: Week 5 fantasy football sit/start

need a waiver QB:
Dalton vs Buff (Buff D hasn't allowed more than 11 points to opposing QB's all season)
Brisset v SF (SF pass D has been middle of the pack in fantasy)
McCown @ Clev (Clev D has given up at least 2 TDs and 18+ points to every Qb they faced this year)

Leaning McCown based purely on matchup

Re: Week 5 fantasy football sit/start

Smallwood not practicing Weds or Thurs.

Pick 1 RB 1.25 PPR

McKinnon @ CHI
Allen @ OAK
Theo vs CAR

Pretty sure its McKinnon.

Also, I have no way of getting Amendola in my lineup tonight, right:

3 WR/ 1 flex

Tyreek
Diggs
Keenan
Djax
Amendola

I'd go ASJ and Smallwood but could also see Gillislee getting an increased workload around the goalline. Hard to tell which way the wind blows in that Pats backfield. I wouldn't feel confident starting NA basically ever.

PPR, who to flex?

Cooper (vBAL)
TyWill (@NYG)
L. Murray (@CHI)

Smallwood has been missing practices with a knee issue. Guy doesnt exactly have a lock on the job even if he is 100% healthy

Probably wait and see if Crabtree goes, it looks ok which would lean me towards Amari, failing that Latavius based on volume?

That's what I'm concerned about. I could play Gil tonight and then wait and see about ASJ/Smallwood for my flex, but then have to play Gil tonight.
