olsen or keller. depending on braylon's involvement in the nyj offense in the wake of his off field issues, i rank keller slightly ahead. but either way it looks as if sanchez will look for keller a lot. keller is probably better this week, but i think olsen has a lot of upside later in the year.

Last edited by TITANSMASH; 09-21-2010 at 11:59 PM. Reason: hernandez is good too. but i'm not 100% sold on a belichick te. i wanna see more results before i pull the trigger on him.

Makes so much sense, but had never thought of it.
Actually I don't think it matters.

If you're 12th and 3 people ahead of you pick players, and you pick a player you'll still move up to 9th waiver priority, because they will fall behind you.

And if you don't waiver anyone, you'll end up 9th - same spot. And like the other guy said someone may get 2 waiver claims which would screw you.

So keep your waivers on.

Yep, but are we really taking him over guys like Miller (OAK) and Keller who are TEs with awful QBs that are likely to work them hard. Hernandez has the flip side of the coin, great QB and WRs leaving him open a lot, but I'm not even sold on his getting the majority of the TE time.

Waivers confuse me. They are set up differently in all my leagues. One league has them off, one is based on your league standings, and the other is based upon if you have used a waiver priority or not.

In other news, DeAngelo Hall said he wasn't really impressed with AJ this week, something to the tune of he's nothing special. He told the local radio station and in a post game interview that he was on the same level as Asomaguah sp? and Revis. That he was the first one to do it and taught them. He doesn't care what the defensive scheme is, he's just going to spy the other team's best WR.

He lost me at AJ is nothing special.

To add some to this, I posted this in the Trade Thread:

so I'm uhhhh stacked, or more precisely stacked with sell-highs. I have Flacco/Vick as my starting QBs (5 pts/TD, -2 INT) and Roddy, Randy, Legedu and Bowe at WRs (so I'm thin there) along with Celek at TE.

Who of the above RBs are we most willing to part with this week in an effort to improve QB, WR, and TE?
Does all that trade bait and the possibility to land TE Finley impact who we should be looking to pick up?

Yeah, I guess that's a good point. He was my only TE option of waivers. I'm still not sure dropping Gresham for him is correct. My other TE is Celek.

There are a ton of different kinds. For PHB's problem it works like this:

A
B
C
D

in waiver order. If B, C, and D all put in a claim and get it. After awarding the claims, the order will be

A
D
C
B

as far as I know. So yeah, put in those claims if you're D.

keller is a clearly better pickup than olsen. he will be targeted much more and even has more upside bc olsen is limited by martz.

Pick 2 (non PPR):
Julian Edelman
Golden Tate
Bernard Berrian
Mike Sims-Walker
Johnny Knox
Jacoby Jones

Also, Jeremy Shockey or Owen Daniels?

any WW trash lower than that.
i would throw moeaki in the mix too. 8 catches on 14 targets and 3 red zone targets.

How long do you think we hold on to Celek for? I've got him and Gresham, and I think I'm dropping Gresham for Hernandez (or Moeaki?), and giving Celek another week or two

Nobody ever trades in my league - which makes it kinda boring. I've proposed trades before but no real response. Maybe b/c the commish is the only guy I actually know irl.

Basically very lucky to start 2-0 in one of my leagues, .5ppr.

Very thin at RB (Starting Ronnie Brown and LT) but have some dead weight (Slaton, Sproles). Should I put in a claim on Tolbert and hope he gets the goal line carries or strengthen an already good WR corps by putting in a claim for Demaryius Thomas?

ok so i got a kinda hard and involved decision here.

12 team, 2qb league. so qbs are uber valuable to the point that some ppl gonna take 0s during bye weeks. obv all starters are snatched up.

my qbs are peyton, vick, vince young, max hall. (expert vick draft tyvm.)

well i have the 2nd waiver priority and fitzpatrick is available, as is gradkowski. fitz is def starting. most indications are that gradk is starting but its not gonna be announced till ww run.

also, it has come to my attention that demaryious thomas is indeed the real deal.

my wr are hurting big time with andre, owens, and harvin.

so, effectively hoarding starting qbs should force other teams to get raped by a trade to avoid the 0. problem is, i dont know how long fitz can keep the job bc he is atrocious looking at his stats. gradkowski is bad, but not woat bad, so he should put up better numbers and keep the job longer, but he cable might butnahhh us and ofc gradk has a decent risk to get the hook anyway.

other quick thought, how much yall bidding on demaryius? is he worth a large chunk, say 33-66% of your roll?

Already owned in my league. I conclude this to be a result of playing with 11 other georgia tech students.

also I love that yahoo finally added a "points against" column in the standings so I can see just how bad I run. right now mine is at 209.5, second highest is 193.74

WRs are Roddy, Randy, Legedu, and Bowe.

WW guys are guys like Walters (HOU) and Clayton. Am I wrong in trying to package one of my RBs (like Foster, Best, or Forte) and Bowe in order to improve my TE situation (Celek) or maybe a QB and pick up one of the above to augment the loss at WR?

You're going to trade a monster RB + Bowe for a good tight end? I don't get it. Your RBs are absolute monsters, if you part with them (especially now while they're hot) you better get something really good.

Walter is definitely getting snatched off the wire. He's had 13 targets this year and 13 receptions. He looked amazing in the Skins game. No idea what happened in 2009 but they stopped using him after a breakout 2008 season.

Here are my waiver claims:

1) Add Josh Freeman QB drop Leon Washington RB

Freeman is up against Carolina again in week 10, when Rivers byes. No idea if I should grab him now for 7 weeks of waiting... ?

2)Add Mike Tolbert drop Steve Slaton.

Tolbert works out best with my RB byes and Slaton is dead weight.

3) Add K Jeff Reed, drop K Ryan Longwell. Thoughts?

4) Add New England (vs. Buff) drop Philly (vs. Jax)

I'm just overflowing with sell-high's right now and I've taken a look at other teams' rosters and proposed some outlandish **** in that thread. Help plox.

Our waivers went through last week at like 6:22am Central time. No idea if that's normal or not.

I hate waking up though and seeing all these FAs signed*
