I'd go with Flacco /Ravenshomer. I mean it's the Browns, if he can't light it up on them then he might be droppable if there are good enough options available.

Very deep big league and somebody dropped Brandon Jacobs...thoughts on him? Also does anybody know the variance in carry attempts in the NFL outside of injury? Seems frequent for one week a player to get 10 more or less carries than the previous week for no apparent reason.

Jacobs can't be any worse to own than the likes of any of the other handcuffs that probably populate the wire now.

def. I'd grab him and see what develops.

Jacobs only value would be if Bradshaw goes down and possibly as the GLB against a team with a super pourous Run D. Giants OLine has been getting virtually no push so I wouldn't pick him up.

He might be a good bye week filler but he is going to be too inconsistent to start him w/ confidence.

Obv wasn't suggesting starting him this week, but compared to what's on the wire I think I'd def pick him up since I can see the potential of a lot of upside with him down the road. If you're in a shallow league and don't have the bench space, then don't take him.

Moved things around from before. Pick a Flex and 1 WR from the following:

Fred Taylor v. Buf
Jon Stewart v. Cin
Nate Washingon @ Giants
Mike Thomas v. Phi
Steve Smith (NYG) v. Ten
Brandon Lloyd v. Ind.

edit: 12-team league with 1 Flex and 1 OP position. No PPR. 6 points for every TD. Bonuses for longer plays.

Well that will never happen, but Bradshaw could get dinged up. If you're dying to pick someone's handcuff from the waiver wire I'd get Gerhart or Jennings if they are available. Really have to see his lineup to see if there is anything worth dropping for a high upside stash.

Flacco a good start this week? I have VY on the bench and can pick up Freeman or Hill.
Since Revis is selling his hamstring injury in lieu of embarrassment over allowing a TD, Marshall is a start. I'd stick with Boldin over Moss.

Flacco should bounce back nicely against the LOLBrowns.

Do I use my #3 waiver number (out of 10) on Demaryius Thomas? My WRs are: Brandon Marshall, Mike Crabtree, Pierre Garcon, Devin Aromashadu, Mohammed Chainsaw Massaquoi and Santonio Holmes.

Also, what are your thoughts on Jason Snelling My Farts?

Yes.

No thoughts.

(Was this an autodraft and what position were you in your initial draft?) I kind of hate all of your WR's.

I hate all of my WRs too.

It's a 2QB PPR league (10 teams). I drafted 3rd. I took Marshall in the 3rd round as my WR1, Crabtree in the 6th as my WR2, Garcon in the 7th as my WR3, Holmes in the 10th, Aromashadu in the 11th and Massaquoi in the 14th.

The only picks I hated at the time were Holmes and Aromadoodoo.

But what should I do about it? The top WRs available are Demaryius Thomas, Jordan Shipley, Devin Hester, Josh Cribbs, Danny Amendola, Braylon Edwards, Josh Morgan.

Thoughts? I already placed a claim on D. Thomas.

Orton targeted Thomas 9 times, he caught 8. Royal had 5 targets and caught all 5. I'm not going to try to convince you one way or the other, but I had Royal last year and am a little biased against him strictly on emotional reasons.

Tough decision, but I did draft Thomas this year hoping he would be promising. I'm happy after his first week but am not willing to make assumptions based on one week.

You can't pick up both and hope to trade one later?

any thoughts welcome:

i'm in a (uggh) 14 team league so there ain't much on waivers in general, but i have the #1 waiver priority (was #2 last week and obv didnt get jackson...after losing grant).

i don't want to grab tolbert or d. thomas with my waiver spot but i would if i was in the middle. i have 2 solid RBs in addai and mccoy and a solid but not great reciever core with owens, edwards, driver (linked to rodgers), and the exceeding expectation walter (where i start 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 RB/WR). after my grant injury, my next best option at RB is (tear) kevin faulk. so if tolbert becomes a legit option i want him i guess but i dont see it happening.

bottom line: there isn't much left and there never will be much available (i'm hoping somebody dumps bush...) but i'm in a weird spot with waiver #1 and the potential to never get to put it to good use.

Thomas def has the most upside with his 9 targets from Orton last week. My 14 team is a little different because we only start 1 QB and our flex has to be a WR/TE instead of RB, so I stock up on WR's.

Your team might not be bad if you only have to start 2 WR's and the flex can be a RB. (That's w/o seeing your RB's) But I would hate to have to start 3 WR's out of that group. You should be fine if it's only 2 and you can play the matchups, but I would possibly try to upgrade to another consistent WR through a trade if you can.

Tough call. I'd like to hear some other views too. I would put the claim in for Thomas just judging form the fact that he got almost double the pass attempts to him vs. Royal.

I mean they drafted Thomas with the idea that he was going to take Marshall's place being a similarly sized receiver. Marsahll got a **** ton of looks over Royal last year, but it's too early to compare him to Marshall. I think he was the first receiver taken in the draft so he has talent.

I'd take Thomas and cross my fingers.

Thoughts? Is Rivers as big an upgrade as Finley?

EDIT: Got offered Vernon Davis for Gore as well in case that's better than Finley.
Jesus, tell me thats an 8 person league.

If not why the hell don't you just ride your team out to the playoffs.
Schaub>Rivers
Roddy, Miles, and Wes Welker > Desean

I'd rank Gore right behind AP and CJohnson tbh right now and if your dying to grab a TE why don't you try to trade Arian Foster/Floyd for McFadden and Vernon Davis

Faulk tore his ACL, so you can forget that. I'd go ahead and grab D. Thomas. I don't see any better options coming along barring injury.

I'm in a 14 team league as well and drafted Thomas, so I believed the preseason hype and he produced in his first week. You can put the waiver in and then always trade a WR to upgrade another.

In a 14 team league you aren't going to find a viable option on the wire at RB. With the all the committee RB's in the league you can barely find a viable option every week that you don't have to pull your hair out on whether to start on not.

No chance you should do this trade. Agree w/ everything said above.
