If poker qualifies as a sport then you might want to checkout Summer In Vegas @ Puzzles And Other Games.
It's a team competition which is already running (the pre-season games).
In the pre-season we determine which teams qualify and which players qualify on each team.
We currently have 163 qualified teams. Teams are made up of players with the same given name (Negreanu + Heimiller, Shak + Smith, Baker + Baker etc).
I'm leaving for Taipei in 5 days to play in the APT to try and secure a spot on Team Dave.
Others might want to just put an entry in the fantasy pool. No entry fee - small prizes!
