Had a dummy lineup in, forgot the game was at 4. I'm an idiot for not having Giovinco in my dummy lineup, lol me.

Ya bendik and gio were auto pick and eval rest later.

Interestingly enough my highest lu was a non gio. Also gio gonna lose his assist I think. Cash/main lu had gio but losing the assist won't hurt me much.

Pretty annoyed dk hasn't put up opening weekend contests yet. Hopefully decent sized prizepools.

I've tried but I can't get into MLS, too many of the goals are just random slop.

Mls is tougher but once you get the hang of players value to their teams and can adjust based on who's starting you can do well. I've basically been winning literally every contest past few weeks for the sat slates.

There's a lot of dead money, and that money is really dead.

Really important to target teams who are getting back to full strength and fade ones who have starters missing. HFA massive too.

Yep. I missed out on so much free money last year by not investing more early on when I had a massive edge + overlay. Won't make that mistake again but games obv a bit tougher. Imagine most won't do the required research early on to find the edge with new teams/players though.

Where do you play and find massive overlay?

Draft kings had a ton of overlay first few slates.

I'm looking to get into football DFS. Ive skimmed some of the thread and some really interesting stuff.

I am going to deposit on Mondogoal and start playing when the EPL kicks off.

I have a few questions based on stats: I have looked at some of the site mentioned and the info looks really great as are the interfaces (Partiulcarly Squwaka) but is there a way to export the information to excel to perform your own analysis?

I really have no experience in Fantasy Sports stat analysis but it would seem sensible to start with combining the stats on a site like this with the player prices to assess value for money. Then looking at things like recent form, opposition etc.

Another quick question, in an early post I noticed DuckSauce talk about high celling and high floor. The concept makes perfect sense but I am just interested in how one would go about identifying players of either type?

Off the top of my head would you look at something like the standard deviation of a player from their mean score to determine the players 'variance'? Is the data to calculate this relatively attainable? Does that sound reasonable?

I imagine there is some 'feel' to picking the different types of players but at the moment I am trying to get to grips with the statistical considerations of DFS.

High ceiling is players who have good chances at multigoal or multiassist games. High floor is players who will shoot/cross/get fouled alot.

It's possible for players with high floors to have high ceilings(high volume with medium to high quality). It's possible for players with high ceilings to have low floors(low volume high quality). It's possible to have a high floor with a low ceiling (high volume low quality).

Regarding stats into excel: if you're good at coding you can scrape data and develop your own datavade. Otherwise manual copy paste away. Mondogoal does have an export for a handful of useful stats though. The lack of good databases is one of the things that makes soccer a bit of an arm's race for who can get the best data.

Mondogoal 2.0 is out with better roster management . Will test on my lunch break and report back. Also late swap is now available I believe.
