I only put in a couple of teams today. I was at work and unable to do research and last minute picks. I am liking that the gpps are filling up for the champions league games.
It sucks that the champions league won't be back until February.

DK are def kings of dfs. 25k guaranteed isn't too shabby.
I will be playing in a lot of qualifiers to earn as many tickets as I can for this event.

It will also be a full slate of 10 games on boxing day. They might exclude the Chelsea - West Ham early kick off.

DK can be a bit of a variance fest. If mondogoal ever becomes a little more user friendly I will greatly prefer their scoring.

What part in particular. I think its great that def midfielders and centerbacks become viable due to interceptions and tackles.

Mondogoal will not be as player friendly for North America. Its just too complicated and to much for anyone who isn't willing to do a lot of research or really knows their stuff to have fun/do well at imo. DK has more variance but thats better for the game in the long run, and the variance isn't that terrible if you go about it the right way.

I think Mondogoal for sure has more skill, but that hurts the fish more, if they lose their money super fast and have no shot the game doesn't grow or survive. NFL edges are pretty small even for the top end players, and that helps its popularity imo.

If dk fixed assists thatd be a step in the right direction.

So something ive been experimenting lately in cash. Never using center forwards (except for very specific players/archetypes). I try to only pick wingers for cash games and avoid cf altogether since it is too easy for them to go scoreless / get isolated and not have alot of production.

With wingers you can usually get 8-12 pts without scoring which is pretty important for cash games.

The exception for this is very agile/fast/skillful cfs who will drop deeper to pick up the ball, run at defenders, can create their own chances, have set piece/peno duty, and often drift out wide. Aguero and messi are two perfect examples of this, where as say diego costa is someone to avoid in cash because of this.

Id like to hear thoughts / arguments for or against this. Remember strictly talking cash here.

Have avoided Costa on at least one occasion and opted for higher floor options so in general all of that is totally fine. The only real problem is that sometimes these slates have a severe lack of options and sometimes it makes sense to just roll with low floor/high ceiling guys in an effort to spend your cap on actual good players rather than decent floor guys on lesser teams.

Most of the time I try to find high floor exposure to teams that I think are likely to score. I've been going with Hazard and not playing Costa in cash pretty much every week.

Having pk duty makes hazard great vs borderline.

I can see that argument for sure. Honestly one of the bigest tenets of my strat is to maximize crossing. If you can put out a team that is going to get 20 crosses you are already ~1/4 of the way to cashing.

I also think some people have a bit of leak wrt balancing of funds between D/M/F when considering the kind of return D can get. Particularly in cash where you are trying not to rely on clean sheets.

Nope so frustrating. If you enter a cash lineup you can enter other lineups right after that though. But after that you can't import

In cash I build from the back starting with the keeper. That potential +10 is often what is going to make or break you in a cash game. Get it right and you have a significant advantage

Then defense you can get a top defender for the same price as an average midfielder and they can score nicely with crosses. Of course this all depends on matchup and who is available at what price.

There are almost always bargains at forward depending on matchup. I was comfortable with this but agüero killed an otherwise really good lineup on more than one occasion to the point where you had to play him and eat the salary. Him being out only helps what I want to do

yeah i definitely prefer when the mortal locks are out. the clowns can't just mash buttons and get a 20 ppg player automatically.

Speaking of mortal locks is sanchez a mortal lock today with giroud back? He's quite expensive

great result. probably ****ed a fair few people.

odd lineups for me. a lot more level in terms of salaries. none of the really expensive guys for me. usually a bad thing since more often than not there are good deals at 3k or less.
