Think there is a misconception that the bigger a site is like FD/DK that all customer funds will be protected in full. Actually if you read the term & conditions of these sites all funds just have basic to medium protection and funds are gone if most of these sites becomes insolvent. The only protection customers have is to be sensible by making regular withdrawals and leaving a very small amount playing money they can afford to lose. If a site does not allow me to make a timely withdrawal, I will stop playing there.

A bigger site is way less likely to go under and way more likely to be bought if it did.

FD.uk's main contest is way down (again) this week-end, guarantee is only 500 entries. Still bigger than Yahoo (200) for the same BI (£5). Is there a way to dowload / copy-paste salaries on Yahoo?

Yes, FD can not make up their mind what they want to with their UK product. They were better off offering multi-sports and joint liquidity with US platform. So they getting the same number few hundred unique players as Mondo used to have which is just a few hundred and some do not even play it every slate. While in the US they giving away massive free roll's to entice players into soccer now the NFL season is done.

The Yahoo game scoring is much superior and with multi-sports offered rather play there. Not sure about how you download salaries and you can ask them on twitter. https://twitter.com/JoshHolman_

Yeah it's annoying. I can see that game dying which would be a real shame as the DK game sucks. Anyone know what FD EPL prize pools are like in the US? Why don't they have 1 game like DK?

The US FD soccer games are around ten times bigger than what they offer on the UK platform, they do not seem to mind overlay there. While they seem scared of the smallest overlay in the UK instead of seeing it as marketing expenditure. The game format in US is different and 8 person rooster. Much prefer to have 11 person rooster and be allowed to be play different formations according to the slate.

Last update on the 20th January the CEO of Viral Technology is in contact with me. He asks me to provide:

Iban
Bank/bic/swift code
Bank address

I provide all of the above for them to make a bank transfer to my current account, which is a completely separate account to the previous one that they had problems with. On 20th of January he assures me that I will get the money within a few days.

I have received absolutely nothing from them.

They are just making a fool out of me and tbh I am the point where I am fed up checking my bank account, fed up communicating with them and listening to their lies and false promises.

How long ago was it I contacted IBAS?

Well today is the first time they have been in contact with me:

Your complaint has been assigned a dispute number ********. Should you wish to submit any further evidence or should any further correspondence be necessary, please e-mail adjudication@ibas-uk.co.uk quoting this number to ensure that all of your correspondence is correctly stored in the correct file.

Given current high volumes of requests for the service, the adjudication process is typically taking 10-14 weeks to conclude. We may contact you with further questions during this period. Your dispute will be assigned a Case Manager who will seek a statement and further information from the betting operator. Your submission and any made by the bookmaker will then be sent to our adjudication panel who may have further questions either for you or the operator before they feel satisfied that they are able to adjudicate. In general terms, the more complex the issues involved in the dispute the longer the process will take.

Sorry to hear this has not been resolved and they putting you through a loop. I only play the free-roll's on Fantasy Bet and use any winnings from that to play paid entries. I have no experience of making a withdrawal from them and your experience is saying a big red flag against the site.

We all have to be extra vigilant after similar experience with Mondo and the debacle with Fantasy Aces using customers funds then declaring bankruptcy.

It is ridiculous what is going on in some of these operators and best to narrow down to a few that have demonstrated trust worthiness.

During the time I have tried to withdraw my money they credited my account with Free tickets to play in the latest contests. They probably think that all their customers are degens and once I start playing in the contests with a free ticket I will quickly blow through the rest of my BR rather than withdraw it.

Its notable that on January 20th they said to me:

"Do you have full iban number? Its easier to send payments using iban and allows for less errors to occur and we can also ask for iban trace should something again happened (lord forbid)."

Today they email me:

"Thank you for your update. I am following up with the payment provider. We will proceed with an iban trace as that is how it was sent to you."

Its almost as if they knew in advance that they would need to do this IBAN trace.

For me things like this make a mockery of the whole system. The UK Gaming Commission badge on licensed websites is there to give the consumer confidence to put money on these websites. Then when things go wrong they dont want to get involved and direct you to someone like IBAS who wait a month then tell you they will deal with it in 10-14 weeks.

Seems like the whole system is set up to allow them to hold on to the money as long as possible so that in the event the company does dissapear they dont have to pay off anyone who tried to make a withdrawal in the last 6 months or so. This is what you would expect from some shady offshore unregulated gambling website, the fact they are UK based and regulated by UKGC doesnt seem to have made things any easier to get the money back.

From what I have seen on the IBAS website and filling in their forms it seems they mainly deal with disputes regarding settlement of bets, as in if you wanted to argue about the identity of a goalscorer and the bookmaker disagreeing like the Jonny Evans/Gareth McAuley goal at the weekend. In my case there is no dispute I just want my money back. So I am prob gonna have to wait 14 weeks then IBAS will just say: "yeah we agree you are entitled to your withdrawal we have told them to send you the money." Then we go round in the same circles again.

To be honest this isnt a gambling dispute, its fraud/theft. A company has taken my money and wont return it. I should probably just contact the Police at this point and see what they say because I am going to have to wait another 14 weeks on IBAS anyway at this rate.

I am in full agreement with you, this is straight up theft, fraud and deception. There seems to be a pattern of these happening across these platforms and they must think their customers are stupid & gambling addicts. Some might be and not all of us are like that. In fact, some of us know exactly what we are doing and just hedging our plays across sites.

I will send Fantasy Bet a formal letter putting them on notice that if they do not make the payment within 10 working days that you will be lodging a court claim against them including costs. So this is their last chance to resolve the matter amicably. Fully agree some of these arrogant operators need to be cut down to size and be taught a lesson.

Good luck with it. We should all make a list and share our experience of the different platforms, so as others take notice of red flags and avoid certain platforms.

Thanks for the help, support and suggestions guys. I can confirm that today I have finally received the bank transfer and the money is now in my account. I honestly think this is the first time they genuinely sent the money. All the other times were straight up lies.

When I signed up to FantasyBet, DK and FD hadn't launched in the UK yet. I was hearing a lot about DFS on poker podcasts so I decided to Google to see if there was anything available in the UK. I found Mondogoal and FantasyBet. I didnt like the look of Mondogoal and didnt feel safe about putting money on there for some reason. I deposited on FantasyBet and played maybe 3 times. Then about 2 weeks later to my surprise DK launched in the UK and I never used FantasyBet again.

When I heard about withdrawal problems at Mondogoal I remembered I had money sitting on FantasyBet and I figured a lot of the smaller operators would start having problems. So I withdrew my BR from FantasyBet in October and it has taken until February 17th to get the money back.

Anyway, apologies for the derail and clogging up the thread with this bs. I am glad to get this out the way and off my mind.

We are paying out much larger amounts on a weekly basis, and normally transfers take a few days at the most. Early errors on our part coupled with later errors outside of our control made this a drawn-out process.

We deserve criticism for the time it has taken. We have learned a few things about edge-cases and will be more prepared to handle them quickly in the future.

Everyone is of course free to form their own opinion on whether we chose to make a relative small payout drag out on purpose or not.

All I can say is that this has been a frustrating process for us, and we are very aware that we live and die by the trust of our users.

I want to emphasise that we ALWAYS pay our users. In the rare instances where it takes time we are doing our best to solve it, and in the end we always do.

I want to emphasise that we ALWAYS pay our users. In the rare instances where it takes time we are doing our best to solve it, and in the end we always do.
From my experience my preference is to use e-wallet options like Skrill/Neteller for deposit and withdrawal. Nearly all sports books have this e-wallet option to make instant deposits and withdrawals. So no reason or excuse for DFS platforms to decline offering e-wallet options and makes me wary of using those that do not offer e-wallet options. There is quiet a few of them too.

You do have e-wallet options at Fantasy Bet alongside Bank options. Think it is only fair to send an email to customers to notify them you are experiencing payment issues either from your side or with the processor. Transparency is not much to ask and if customers are updated with the latest info most of are patient enough till matters are resolved.
