No, we can not access FanDuel US. So just the UK platform only.

I do not think it is always optimum to enter max number of entries in any given GPP. Heavy volume players do not publicise their true profit/losses so we do not know what the real picture is. It has advantages but not the only way to play.

Contest selection is more key in my opinion, also strict bankroll management and build a large sample size of games played in time. Eventually one can see a positive ROI. In all my times playing, three line-up's is my average entries. If it is the optimal line-up that is fine, if not I move on to the next slate.

Fwiw I ended up playing 50 entries 2 or 3 times this season (usually I put in much less), and had losing weeks every time

Imo fantasy sports is just like poker, nobody has any idea what they're doing, but they do it anyway, so don't overthink it DanB ^^.

Do you play another sports besides football ? Having fun here learning NFL DFS, switching from EPL on Saturday to NFL on Sunday. Is he injured ? Is he playing ? How is the hamstring ? What is the coach saying ? Oh no, he is playing and active. Oh no, he is active but not suited up and staying on the bench. Pure madness keeping up with NFL injury list and one needs to be soothsayer.

Now basketball comes into view. Might have to buy more notepads and pens for homework. Will be nice to see eventually bigger prize pools for footy. Much easier football as a sport to keep up with who is playing or questionable.

I spent ages and tried really hard to get into PGA but no matter how hard I tried I found it impossible to be profitable and just couldn't justify losing each week no matter how much I enjoyed it. Sometimes it just felt like I was throwing darts.

Also the time spent was impacting on my time prepping for football, I just don't have the time to take on another sport really because of all the sites I play

Yeah, NFL is what I wanted to get into originally, but the shcedule is a killer playing from Europe. Late swap especially hurts, means we have to stay up for the 1:30am London-time games. NBA is just plain undoable. I wish we had access to FD with their no-late swap (welp, no more for the NBA apparently), would make the whole thing more palatable.

They haven't sent a tweet out since 27 Sep, I'd say it's all over bar the shouting.

You could try tweeting the individuals involved directly and put some pressure on them for an answer, they still seem active on twitter and I can't imagine they'd want any bad PR.

Nah, I managed to get a couple of guys who confirmed me it was an issue with the card processors (and people can not deposit as well). Hope (believe?) it is true, but indeed it is alarming.

I have not heard anything from them and Mondo Twitter account is not that active. Hopefully this will get resolved for all in a positive manner. For now will play on Mondo with the funds I have left there for the contests they putting in the lobby.

Do not have positive experience in previous instances with Draft 11, Totel, SportDraftr etc.. When these platforms struggled, they hardly communicated and disappeared without reimbursing player funds.

Also hesitant to deposit or play much on FanDuel as they have not got withdrawal options so far. I have asked them and their response was they will do it soon. Thought this will be see as a high priority.

I haven't tried withdrawing on FD (I assume it would cancel the bonus), but I thought you can ask for a withdrawal by email? Would be crazy not to allow withdrawals

I withdrew a few days ago from FanDuel, when I clicked withdraw it basically made me e-mail support, somebody came back to me and confirmed I could do it through paypal. Not perfect and took a few days but it did work.

Do you play there anymore ? Mondo looks deserted and can only see about 10-15 players there now. Such a rapid decline in players. No surprise to see that DK and Fan Duel want to merge very quickly. Without customer retention it is uphill struggle for all these platforms, flavor of the month and then gone.

Am I missing something here?

I feel that is unacceptable, you cant have one set of rules one minute then change it the next.

Usually there is a way to play devil's advocate on situations like this but on this occasion there is no way to argue. I would just say one is clearly a mistake, regarding which way is the correct interpretation I have no idea.

Basically OPTA makes executive decisions which look random to us because they give no precise definition. I haven't looked to closely, but there's been some funky things this season, like getting an assist but no chance created.

Here is a good read with a behind the scenes look at how OPTA work. Despite their checks there will be errors in correctly recording actions on the field. They seem so dominant in this field and do not think there is alternative quality football stats provider.

Have no idea what happened tonight with the Porto game as Andre Silva goal was not recorded on time and at least one platform have settled the contests without taking that to account.

FWIW I remembered that Hernandez (Hull) was awarded an assist but no chance created in GW 1, but it seems they either corrected it much later or my memory sucks.

I messaged Opta yesterday about the Silva goal yesterday and they said they were unsure about wether it was an own goal or if Silva scored. They didnt want to correct the feed twice so they waited for their dubious panel`s decision. The decision was made after the match ended and that probably why sites who settle games early got it wrong.
