My edge has also dropped since the rule changes.

If the rule changes are what have caused the recent increase in liquidity/popularity of DK FOT then I can't really complain.

It's hard to know, however, how much of this increase has been a result of the rule changes and how much has been the impact of the Euros and other organic growth.

Withdrawal 2: Waited 1 week, emailed support but had to wait another 10 days or so before withdrawal was processed

Current W/D 3: Submitted 3 weeks ago. 1st email to support after week 1 went unanswered. 2nd email after week 2 got a response asking for info which was sent immediately. Not heard back from then since.

Im UK too, so that isnt an issue. Sometimes you get a response within an hour, sometimes you get ignored for weeks.

Whilst its true that all my replies have come from Phil (so presumably what DS said is true) from looking at the support ticket #'s they get about 25-40 support emails per day which is not an unreasonable number for one person to respond to.

I would personally advise others not to put any money on there as I don't think they are solvent.
My withdrawal from Mondo is complete as of today and it took around one month. Hopefully future withdrawals will be much quicker as they have completed all the KYC checks which only need to be done once.

Now I have to start all documentation and KYC verification with other sites. Get that done and start new season verified across the sites.

In general, you should not leave too much funds in any site and best to leave a small amount to play with every month.

No edge for me in DK's game. Their game format, salary and scoring takes a while to get used to it. Prefer to have formations and flexibility that way when I draft a line-up.

Next season is going to see a lot more new sites as well. So could be a breakout season for football DFS. FanDuel, GoChalk, Squwaka MatchBoss, Fanager etc...

Good to see the competition from the variety of established and new DFS operators in trying to offer a polished product with great gameplay.

I would be happy that, in spite of living in London, most of my money is not in GBP... if it were not in euros. Go USD-based fantasy sites

FD launched their real-money tournaments.

Now we can see opponents' lineups it seems, but we still don't have player scoring breakdown, and the rules look serisouly non exhaustive, eg: what are over-time rules? Does a goal count as both a goal and a SoT?

Anybody has more info?

Dunno about any of the above but I got the email about the real money games starting soon. I thought the first deposit bonus of a free £5 was really lame considering DK offered a 100% FDB up to $400 or something. Just as well I hustled up a mini BR on FD from the freerolls, so will go with that for now.

Fan Duel have just opened a new office in Glasgow 5 mins along the road from me. One of my best mates has just been hired as a coder/designer for them. Dont know how big of say he will have but I will try and get some improvement suggestions through to him about the app and website.

Thanks, I do plan on improving the optimizer, although my focus is not on the projections but rather improving the interface, functionality, etc. My hope (maybe wishful thinking) is that the optimizer will be used as a tool with players uploading their own projections. The default projections I see as more of an example on how to use the optimizer. I wouldn't put too much stock in projections you get for free on the internet!

Improving the app/scoring system is all fine, but there is no point if they keep taking 20% juice on any contests

I don't get why they would use the typical fantasy tournament format (guaranteed prizepool fixed in advance) rather than the poker tournament format (possible guarantee, tournament prizepool increases with entries with no cap on entrants). Having only UK players and not US players makes little sense, but if you use US-UIGEA based formats it makes even less sense.

Not having the burden of facing overlay often should help them reduce the rake. Either way 20% is ridiculous obviously.

Has anyone got their money from Mondogoal yet from the 50k Championship? I got an email 12 days ago apologising again for the delay in sending the money and that it had now been processed, but still nothing. No response to an email asking what processed actually meant (I had falsely understood processed to mean the funds being sent).

At 6.5 weeks from withdrawal, the KYC done months ago and 4 previous successful withdrawals. No bank details changed, same withdrawal method etc. etc.

It's just unbelievable to me that it's taken this long. I would not recommend playing on the site, the promotions are at best utterly incompetent, but it's getting beyond that stage now.

That is an excellent point. I always said that rakes on H2H should be lower for this exact reason (no risk of overlay). FD has the opportunity to apply this to all contests

Yes, as I posted earlier this week. I got all the money after more than a month. You will get a confirmation email when the withdrawal is completed and it was in my bank account within three working days.

The story in the link below should make for worrying read. As a lot of sites are using KYC as an excuse to delay or not even give back player funds. It is unacceptable this sort of conduct and good on the person for taking legal action.

Bet365 faces legal action over delay in paying winning punter £54,000

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...g-punter-54000

Fairhead believes that it is time for the Gambling Commission, which regulates all gambling in the UK, to step in and ensure that verification is standardised and streamlined across the industry.

“One of the stated aims of the Gambling Commission is to ensure that gambling is conducted fairly and openly,” Fairhead said. “What we need is a standard, transparent verification procedure across the industry. It should be set down by the Gambling Commission, so that bookmakers cannot hide behind their terms & conditions and force people to jump through an endless series of hoops to get access to their money.”

I've not received a confirmation email in the past and this is my fifth withdrawal. The closest I've got to a confirmation was this time, where they used the line "Your withdrawal has been processed. I apologize again for the delay" after 4.5 weeks. I took that to mean they had finally sent the withdrawal to my bank, but that was 10 working days ago, so "processed" can't mean that.

I'd played on the site a lot this year, had 10 tickets to the championship, given action at all stakes, but I'm never playing there again.

Call me skeptical (and sexist), but brand new female account deposits £30k and starts betting on horse racing - seems extremely likely it belongs to a professional gambler under someone else's identity because he can't get action on his own account. I expect bet365 know this is the case and are being deliberately difficult. I can't believe for a second they'd actually have trouble paying out a £54k cashout, whereas I do think the Mondogoal concerns raised in this thread are legitimate, and I hope everyone gets their money soon.

But if you read the article and did further reading. The lady is a tip of the iceberg of people not getting their money back at all or delayed using KYC as an excuse.

Always found it strange how different sites apply the KYC rules. Some process it in one day, some take ages, some ask for so many things it is absurd and some just try to ignore you.

When i get exasperated, I just tell them I will send all copies through recorded post to them. No way they can then say they did not get it then or it was not of the required quality.

A lot of these sites are in it for themselves and there is a few that have disappeared without returning my funds. Good to be wary.

I cashed out mid 4 figures from the 50K championship and although it was slow, I did receive the funds after about 3/4 weeks. I spoke to them about the problems with withdrawals as I was concerned. They explained that 'US banks changed our merchant code without giving us any notice' and this is what is slowing down withdrawals. I'm from UK so maybe the problem not affecting us over here.

They also stated that 'per the terms of our gambling license, all player funds are segregated and protected. All of the withdrawal issues fully resolved soon'. Although 4 months is still not acceptable in my opinion, I do believe that they will resolve any issues eventually.

On a separate note, what sites do you guys use for lineup predictions? I scout around several websites and twitter but they all seem fairly unreliable. I saw opponents pick Howedes (and others that were unlikely to play but did throughout the tournament) in lineups that locked 24 hours before their respective games, so there must be some solid info out there somewhere!

Was wondering about Howedes as well, didn't see him mentioned anywhere, but someone obviously had good information. For the Euros I only found whoscored, and their predicted lineups turned out to be surprisingly good.

The French press have been pretty accurate with the predicted France line-up (usually reported on sites like L'Equipe). They were spot on with the 2nd group game when Pogba was dropped, for example.

If anyone can predict the German line-up that will be nice. From what I can see even the German press are not sure. Best way to check for other national side or leagues is their press, more of than not line-up's are leaked. Still prefer late swap to guessing game.

Will we play Wiegl or Kimmich ? Will we play Draxler or Schurrle ? Will we play Can ? Only the German coach knows.
