Yes, the number of entrants is massive too. Most UK DFS sites have at best few hundred players playing each game week regularly.

Salary pricing is sharp. Have to look hard for bargain basement players who can get good returns. Khazri for Sunderland looks from the new players most suited to DK game.

Firmino looks a good player for DK game too. But most attacking players will scrape on 1 to 3 points, so best to make a list of players with all-round game.

There is a lot of value in center backs and defensive midfield, if you add set piece takes who can score/assist/cross then you are making right picks.

This game is the opposite of standard fantasy games. The closest scoring I can find to this sort of scoring is from SportDraftr and a little in Playon.

I can see it hold appeal to a wide range of players.

+1-ing this question. It seems that DK's (OPTA's) definition of a cross is very wide, much wider than other sources (like whoscored).

they are pretty liberal with crosses. it has to go into the box and be touched, so if it flies straight out you get nothing. doesn't have to be that wide or close to the byline at all.

If it looks like a cross it's probably a cross. Don't believe it needs to be touched and can sail over/out and still count afaik

My best lineup only got 124 points today on DK, pretty poor effort for the first weekend.
Seems everyone had Firmino who I wanted to dodge, and Trippier, wp them!

Firmino, I have good fantasy memories from his Hoffenheim days in the Bundesliga. Streaky player if you get on to him with the right timing capable of hitting big points for a six to eight game week period. If not you get burned by his inconsistency.

Got him in few seasonal teams, his ownership is below 2%. So backing him to have a big haul between now and the end of the season. Their defence is abysmal though, steer clear.

Captained firmino in fpl today as well. He was one of the most nailed on picks today along with siggy and trip

Yh didnt take firmino as has too low floor w no crossing i thought & too eratic. Siggy was better i believer

The numbers in today's mondo csv differ (slightly) from those displayed on the website. I haven't thought to check for bigger slates in recent weeks, does that happen often? Any idea which numbers are correct?

Yeah, very tough! More than a couple in my case I expect.

Also, on the app location issue if anyone else is struggling, I've noticed that if I enable location settings while I'm using the app it often fails to verify it. If I have location settings on, restart my phone and open the app, the success rate seems higher. Could be just chance of course!

Ya small slates can be brutal esp since its usually more big name teams so good players are high priced. Always end up having to pick up some not so great players. Tons of overlap as well so more variance since it comes down to 2/3 players that decide h2hs

I like the fact its tougher with pricing, means can't go for all studs, it was tough to have alexis, ozil & rambo today at their prices, gotta juggle.
DuckSauce you play a lot of HU right, do you just match with random oppos or game select at all? Its cool how you can choose your opponents, but there isn't anyway to track opponents winnings in HU matches before (like scope) is there? Thx

Sure pricing is tougher, but there are simply less mistakes to be made and less skill involved since a smaller player pool means more overlap. When you share 8 players and it comes down to 2-3 slots there's just more variance.

Alexis & Afobe, failing today cost me.

Afobe prob won't. Everyone will have him. Alexis just ended up in a bad game state since 2 goals early he's not going to attack as much. He was the best fwd on the slate so picking him wasn't incorrect. Going Costa over him wouldn't have been terrible but majority of the time that change will get you slaughtered.

Is this for the whole weekend's fixtures ? As the best matches are on Sunday for Gameweek 26. All top four teams play each other.

Find the two fixtures games on Sunday amusing. You need at least four fixtures to enable differential in line up's and avoid overlapping similar teams with others.

Interesting game, no point getting into the deep end quickly. The salary pricing is very sharp, scoring is nuanced and takes a while to get a feel for and also there is lots of experienced players in the pool.

Just interested to know. If they offer end of season championship ? If they will offer Euro 2016 and Copa America centenario games ? Should be sharpish for their game by then.
