I don't know enough about soccer to know what constitutes an assist, but can one of the experts in the thread tell me why Ritchie didn't get an assist on Afobe's goal or Eriksen didn't get an assist on Kane's goal on Tuesday?

Afobe's was a rebound and not sure if that counts for Ritchie. Eriksen's looked legit (The third goal), was curious why these weren't assists on DK so I know for future reference.

Any deflection at all will negate an assist. Opta is pretty consistent with classifications where as stats was not.

3rd goal for spurs doesn't look like eriksen touches the ball at all when he's pressing.

Just settling in to do my usual homework for the weekend games. My initial impressions of Draft Kings game are:

1. The app both for Android and IOS look well-designed. Desktop access in time makes for a great combination.

2. Late swap feature means one can play early fixtures without risking non-starting players. We been asking for this for a while.

3. Prize pools are very good, as it is a combined pool in dollars the winnings when converted will be much lesser for UK players. Saying that more advantageous depositing for us, exchange rate favours the dollar at the moment.

4. Premier League, Champions League and MLS. Guess in time we will see other leagues added and they will allow to play international tournaments. Mondo ahead in this regard.

5. Game scoring is much more detailed than the usual meat and potato of assists/goals. 140 points will cash in most gameweeks on Mondo. Guess one needs to score much higher in DraftKings to be in cash positions.

6. PayPal to deposit and withdraw is fine for now. Skrill and Neteller are much better options going forward.

7. For this Gameweek seems best to play free-roll and get used to the scoring. Midfielders and defenders of a certain type seem best approach to win. One has to go with all action forwards and avoid those with minimal involvement.

Imagine prize pools will skyrocket after a week or two once they get advertising rolling.

Good question Dan. I mainly use google and search with variety of words. Like "fantasy start-up", "gambling start-up" then go past the first few pages of search results. Most tend to not come up on the first page of search results.

If they are on Twitter, I fine comb their followers and who they following. Plus if they have any lists and subscribe to it.

For a long time you just had Totel, PickLive and Playon. Then from World Cup in Brazil there has been in the last 18 months a deluge of DFS sites. It can be hard to find them and keep up, most hardly do any marketing at all.

The only one that is advertising the papers is Bet4Best, they do so in Racing Post publications and seem to have done well. I do wonder if the new sites can continue at this rate, that will mean we can easily reach 30 DFS football sites.

It is a good thing as instead of waiting to hit big in one platform, one can be consistently profitable playing across the varying platform's. Smaller wins all add up to big one's at the end. That is my steady approach.

Given that we have to enter a deposit amount in £, say £400, I'm afraid that if we have $ on Paypal (which is my case, no £), paypal will convert our $ into £ for several % exchange fees, and then DK will apply their 1.5% or whatever on the £ amount. That comes up to £8 fees or something, that'd be steep.

Mine took a while to "determine location" - it looked like it had frozen - but it went through eventually. I assume you have your location settings enabled?

Yeah everything is enabled so not sure why it's not working. Signed up in the web browser and then downloaded app after which might be the issue

I've spent since launch on and off trying to get it sorted and make a deposit, constant location locking, one of the things was to change the setting in chrome on my phone (which was strange as I don't use chrome). Finally got in to paypal about 1pm and made a deposit but it didn't seem to register. Finally got got time to check paypal about ten minutes ago on web, nothing showing outgoing so did it again on DK app and got a message saying it can take up to 1 day for it to go through. So basically it was always going to be impossible for me to play any paid games today.

They really have rushed this through, which is odd with all the delays why not just leave it longer and get it sorted.

Hey guys, fancy giving this a go now DK is in UK. Quick couple of questions about how the crossing scoring works. Does it need to be a cross into the box? What if he scuffs it and it balloons out/goes way deep past the box? What about a cross face pass just inside the edge of the box?

Yeah that sucks. Strange to rush it like you said after all the delays but hopefully they get the website running asap and we can play normally. The mobile app looks pretty good to be fair but I'd much rather use a web browser on my PC.
