Okay, thanks for the info! Unfortunately in the UK with no DK yet, I thought mondogoal would be the biggest site to toy with

I might have a look at playon, but it will support only tiny volume I fear.

Not only that, but when picking your teams, if you aren't going to be around to make changes, then you have to factor in the likelyhood of a player getting rotated. Certain players are nailed on, whilst others aren't. For example Giroud was obviously nailed on this week with Theo out, whilst Sterling whilst likely to play, was not nailed on, probably more likely 75% to play, so you factor it in.

Oversight on my part Ronaldo. Was checking team's and players for Champions League. Love the midweek European action.

Okay, will start using the fantasy football scout team line up much regularly.
Safe to say in an age of squad rotation and manager whim's anything can happen. The hours before kick off are crucial late swap or not.

I for one have wasted enough buy-in's on non-starting players. See no reason to play staggered kick-off times till more tools are introduced by DFS sites. Few DFS sites had today 3.00pm game between Astana vs Athletico Madrid as part of the slate. Wasting money like that is no fun.

Thanks - there's sick variance in these GPPs, can't really predict having two goal scoring defenders but nice when it happens! Had a fairly big losing run myself recently but this should be a new peak for me now.

Not at all, perfectly reasonable strategy imo. If Benfica had kept a clean sheet you might have won (assuming you're Jean37?). I had a full Benfica defence team myself tonight (entered 10 unique teams 5x each) but it finished so far down you won't have seen it

Okay, thanks. I was wondering about offensive stacking too. Not sure what's bigger between a shot at both sides (assist+goal) of goals and capping the upside.

I'm not totally sure how I feel about offensive stacking yet. I guess when there's some silly game like Germany v Gibraltar you would definitely max out on German attackers, but for a typical Champions League or Premier League contest, I'd tend to think it's better to pick the likely highest points scorers from a number of teams. Haven't really put too much thought into that though.

Yeah true that one really could be a goalfest. Suarez and Neymar will both be extremely expensive, you'll either need to sacrifice one or find some excellent bargains to accommodate both (I've not really looked properly myself yet).

No you can not see ownership %. But you can build a decent contest entry history and do the home work yourself. I can assure you none has worked out a magic formula so far, it is rare you see people win by a wide margin.

For example on Wed you can guess that Neymar and Suarez will have a majority ownership. But we all have no clue who will be hit by bookings, two or three yellow cards at minus two scoring each will sink the best of best line-up's.

Jean asked about ownership and I have no idea how DK works till it is here.

But on Mondo you can go through your contest history to see it for yourself.

It does not take Albert Einstein to work out nearly all will pick Neymar or Suarez on Wed. Or for that matter we will see the usual 'trains'.

I'm not sure how you'd work it out exactly. You could do it for CG by sampling a few 10-man double ups or whatever, but ownership does not matter. For tourneys, the "big" one I played in was 850 players, I'm not going to write down 11*850 picks. I'm not sure how you'd sample that, you can't start at the top of the list (likewise bottom) without having biased results. Maybe sample one team per result page?

Also, wtf, we can't even see our results (how much money each entry has cashed for) without browsing the entire tournament' player list for each entry?

What about positional weirdness. It seems that a Forward listed as a Midfielder gains value, given that scoring favors M over F but how about a Miedfielder listed as Defender (ex Mascherano). You gain on clean sheet points, tackles and ints, but lose on passes. Overalll it should be favourable (to be listed as D)?
