Fantasy Premier League scoring doesn't have enough diversity. At first I was annoyed by crosses, but now I appreciate the dichotomy it offers in player selection.
I think it is important to have to make choices regarding whether to go for high floors or high ceilings as opposed to just mindlessly playing cfs cause theyll essentially have the best chance of scoring goals for the most part. Since mondogoal reduced the amount of points fouls give I've found myself enjoying their scoring far far less than last season for this reason. Their scoring leads to a TON of variance especially since shots don't count, only shots on target. There is no longer any consistent way to generate steady points without scoring/assisting.
The one change I would make though is to slightly reduce crossing points, and to add in an auxiliary stat of either "tackles" (this means tackles won offensively in the form of take ons or defensively in the standard sense) or simply "ball recoveries" (when a player wins the ball back from the other team from a tackle or an interception). Both of these make sense in a positive football way and would help make more players viable (dms + cbs).
