Wasn't even sure he took a snap. We can go to a third party arbiter if necessary if he doesn't happen to sit out a game before the end of the season. WW has already said in a PM it counts as a game played.

I've got no dog in this fight but if he took snaps, then he clearly played and it counts.

It's murkier if he is active but never gets on the field even once.

yeah, i'm happy to see how it plays out, no reason to worry about it too much if he sprains his ankle and goes on the IR or gets shut down in week 17 or whatever

Looks like we are on straight up inactive watch for David Johnson to determine this bet. Drake had 4 TDs yesterday! And James Conner, even though he is DQed, passed David Johnson in points with his return yesterday. Cook got injured yesterday but hasn't missed a game yet, so he will qualify.

He was active, but yes he didn't play a snap. Not sure the correct answer.

I would obv prefer to go to an arbiter instead of agreeing not playing while active = game missed. Especially when the spirit of the missing greater than 2 games was injury related and not suckiness.

Yeah it's a weird situation. For what it's worth I wouldn't be surprised if we find out there was some kind of lingering injury or kawhi type situation because what went down was unprecedented.

I'm fine with getting an arbiter. I'm ok with you suggesting one because I wouldn't know where to start.

It was injury related imo. There's a couple reasons why I think that. Let me get back to my desk and I'll post my thoughts.

I don't need an arbitrator though. If after reading my post and thinking about it you still feel you won the bet I'm more than happy to ship the money. You've always been straight with me.

Two things here.

1) Through week 6 David Johnson was on pace for 80 catches 1600 total yards and 13 TDs. That's a 319 point season. If Cook stayed healthy he would have beat that but that would have put DJ at RB3. That's also assuming DJ wouldn't have had those huge games Edmonds and Drake had for AZ if he was healthy. A big assumption either way but something none of us can really prove. If he has those big games he beats Cook too. If he doesn't and plays like he did week 1-6 he's RB3.

Even taking week 17 out of it, if I was in your shoes, I would still void the bet. We put that stipulation in to protect us from injury deciding this. The karma Gods found away around it lol. He didn't look right all year but really after the ankle and back injuries he wasn't even running hard towards the LOS.

I don't know how anybody can say injury didn't play a roll in the season DJ had.

This has actually been weighing on me a little bit as I'm very worried you may think I'm trying to freeroll you.

Yes, I am always worried about being too kind and letting people take advantage of me. Not saying that is happening here, but my friends who aren't from the gambling/poker world always seem to be trying to take little annoying shots that are tiring to deal with.

I think that if this happened to like Joe Mixon or whatever, it would be overlooked and not handled the same way.

I have been delaying hoping that word would come out about some procedure he was undergoing early in the off season and I could agree with you.

I am 50/50 on this, since he got touches in all games except the last. If Chase Edmonds had been healthy, would Johnson have been scratched from some games? Or was the new coaching staff just really unhappy with Johnson and really preferred Drake, which is why he saw little to no touches?

If it was a) then it should be nullified. If it was b) then I should win. How do we know?
