This was how i ran my playoff ffb league last year on P5s. Imo this was the best variation of rules for one i had ever played in and it was very competitive (especially with the ladder payouts system). Lmk what you think.
--Each of the 6 teams drafts 1 and only 1 player from all 12 playoff teams. Points are cumulative through the Superbowl. Once your player's team is eliminated, you no longer get points from him.
--We're going to use the scoring from Ivy's league last year, which you can find a rundown of at
http://www.pocketfives.com/f13/1st-a...league-674184/ (i have a spreadsheet set up for this scoring)
--Slow draft done itt (maybe Skype chat if we can coordinate) beginning as soon as playoff brackets are known (likely next Monday). 7 hour shot clock on picks so please don't signup if that's a problem (trade numbers with the 2 guys flanking your pick if you have to). Clock will be turned off from 1 AM-8 AM EST. 1st pick needs to be prepared because that pick is due by 8 AM Tuesday, at which point 2nd pick goes on the clock.
--If you lose a WR/TE to injury and their team advances to the next round, then you are allowed to replace them with another available player at the same position on their team as long as you announce the change prior to kickoff. For example: you draft Wes Welker, he re-injures himself in the divisional round, Broncos win, then you can swap in another available Broncos WR/TE (so probably not DT or Decker but likely Andre Caldwell) in the conference round. However, you would not get any points for Caldwell from the divisional round.
2 Team QBs (so you'd draft "Broncos QB" instead of just Peyton as a hedge against QB injuries derailing your chances)
2 Team RBs (that's anyone with ESPN eligibility at RB. You do not get points for rushing stats from QBs, WRs, or punters or passing stats from RBs)
3 WR
1 TE
1 Team K
1 DST
2 flex (WR/TE/K/DST...max of 1 DST in the flex)
Payouts (everyone pays $100 up front; everyone but 6th gets something back):
6th: 0 (-100)
5th: 20 (-80)
4th: 50 (-50)
3rd: 80 (-20)
2nd: 150 (+50)
1st: 300 (+200)
