Ronnie Brown vs. Jets
Hightower vs. Houston (pretty miserable rush D, Hightower is a checkdown magnet)
K. Smith vs. Pittsburgh

3 WRs:

S. Smith NYG vs Oakland (Asomugha, or will he be covering Manningham?)
Megatron vs. Pittsburgh (Polamalu likely back, Stafford iffy)
Ochocinco @ Baltimore
A Johnson @ Arizona (no brainer)
Roddy White @ SF (has been slow)

1 QB:

Flacco vs. Cincy
McNabb vs. TB
Moreno and Hightower

AJohnson, Ocho, Megatron
Flacco, cant trust McNabb even in this great match up. Rib injuries linger (ala Bulger in '07, if I remember.)

I agree with this except my 3wr would be Roddy White. (Eli or not)

edit: just seen it was PPR. I like Hightower instead of Brown, but I think him and Moreno are very close.

jamal is starting this week i believe, dont quote me on that

also jamal, michael bush (starting also), laurence maroney, maybe beanie wells seem to be the top RB waivers on options

i know theres already a thread on pickups but i figured this was related to my decision....are any of these guys better than any of the 3 i have above? if so which one of them do i drop (I would have to drop a RB)

McNabb vs. TB
Moreno and Hightower as RBs given PPR format.

Ranking WR's assuming all are healthy and QB's playing
AJ
Megatron (if he's gimpy or if Daunte starts I put him behind Smith. if both, i don't start him)
Smith (if Eli is out, I move him to last)
Ocho
Roddy

QB:
Flacco b/c I want to see just how healthy McNabb is and this one is so close I don't want to chance it.

All my running backs are banged up: Gore, McFadden (dropped), and Felix Jones. Help me pick two of my remaining three RBs for a PPR league:

Ronnie Brown v. NYJ
Donald Brown @ Tenn
Ahmad Bradshaw v. Oak

Both R. Brown and Bradshaw. Bradshaw stands to get lots of garbage time yards.

Bat**** crazy. Smith has the most targets and most receptions of any reciever in the league, and Manningham is good enough that you can't just ignore him to key on Smith. You have to play your stars, and Smith is a legit fantasy star.

Harrison is a better runner and healthier. I guess you can't trust Mangenius to realize this, though. Bush is an attractive alternative option, though.

imo:

Ward - will prolly get more touches than Fargas plus I can't bring myself to start anyone wearing black and silver.

Garcon - simply from process of elimination, best QB/matchup combo

Keller - although this could maybe go either way. not sure

guess this was worth posting then...

i actually thought fargas would get more touches albeit against a much better D and with a much worse QB-- tb's coach came out today saying that cadillac's going to be much more of a full-time back now because he's earning it

firstly i had to pick two WR -- and in PPR, you really think garcon is better than ward AND welker? my thought was to start those two.

and vernon davis has been hot so i was leaning that way.

any other opinions? thanks for yours btw

1/2 PPR, otherwise standard Yahoo.

Need a Flex spot:

Larry Johnson v. Dallas
Lesean McCoy v. TB
Michael Bush v. NYG
Bernard Berrian v. STL
Massaquoi v. Buffalo

Kinda stumped here. I pretty much hate LJ, not sure about how many carries McCoy will be getting, and although Bush is getting starter carries with mcfadden out, it's against the Giants (even though they haven't been too stout against the run this year, i'm still nervous.)

Berrian and Massaquoi have good matchups, but i'm always nervous about using a WR instead of RB, especially two who have just had their first decent games.

Thoughts?

Johnson and Mendenhall, unless you hear about a bigger role for Parker

As for the WRs, beats me. Hang your head and cry? I guess play Manningham and hope that Asomugha covers Smith or splits time between the two of them. And then Bryant. Edwards will probably be unplayable this week.

Because of byes and injuries, I'm in a tough spot at RB this week. Need to start one of these guys, no PPR, standard ESPN scoring:

Chester Taylor @ STL
Lawrence Maroney @ DEN

I'm actually leaning towards Taylor, thinking that Minnesota may blow out St. Louis and he'll get some garbage time. He's always good for a longish screen pass or something. If Maroney is the "starter" for New England he could always have a nice game, but who knows with that team and against Denver's defense?

Sucks!

Standard ESPN, no PPR.

Warner v HOU
Garrard @ SEA

Pick one flex:

Roy Williams @ KC (listed as questionable, ribs)
Buckhalter v NE (listed as questionable, ankle)
Betts @ CAR (note: already have Portis starting. Hate to start two RBs from the same team)
Gage v IND (lol)

I think Warner and Garrard are a toss up. Both playing ****ty pass defenses, but Warner is still having trouble with his throwing shoulder. Byes and injuries have me real weak at the flex spot. If either Williams or Buckhalter are a full go I'll almost certainly start them. I can get Brandon Stokley v NE or Bobby Wade v Dallas off waivers.

Hmmmm, if your looking for a consistant 6-7 points (possibly a TD on top), take LJ. If you wanna take a chance, I'd go with Massaquoi. I also hate LJ, but I'd still go with him.

I really like Mendenhall this week, but I'm still not gonna start him over those two. For WR, I think playing Edwards this week is too much of a risk. Wait a week and see how he does.

Logical reasoning, but I still like Maroney. If the Rams somehow keep it close (lol, I know), Taylor isn't getting much at all. I'd roll the dice here and hope Maroney gets a bulk of the carries.

Agree with QB being a toss-up. I'd prolly go with Garrard just cause what you mentioned with Warner and the few extra points Garrard gets rushing the ball. Ugly spot at flex, obv start Williams. If both RoyW/Buckhalter are out, I wouldn't start Betts. I'd go with Wade v dallas? ugly, ugly

My turn, PPR League. Everything else standard:

Pick 2:

Ronnie Brown Vs. NYJ
Mendenhall @ DET
Lynch Vs. CLE
Cadillac @ PHI
Harrison @ BUF

Leaning towards Brown and Mendenhall, but since it's a PPR league, I kinda like Lynch as well.

It's gotta be Brown and Mendenhall. If Lynch outscores either, it'd be a fluke. He was pathetic against the Fins.

Isn't Buckhalter out? I think Roy too. Maybe pickup Peyton Hillis here. Otherwise I guess Gage.

Adrian Peterson is playing more on 3rd down this year. I think Maroney will get a few more opportunities bt you never know what NE plans to do with their RBs. I just feel like CT's ceiling is really low.
