Another handcuff question.

My roster:
Rodgers
Lacy, Ellington, Mathews, Hill, Crowell, Herron
Jordy, Gordon, Benj, Stills
Looking at WW for TE (Rudolph maybe Cameron)
DST, K

I want to drop 1 of my RBs to cuff Lacy, which of my RBs should I drop? Hill is gonna share time with Gio, Mathews has a tough schedule but he's looking decent. Crowell is not droppable and I'm a bit high on Herron going forward, I trust Trich to Trich very soon and Herron to see more snaps. Thoughts?

Wow you have green bays whole offense hope that works out for ya. And out of those 6 guys I like hill and Herron the worst. It's a toss up imo

of those, probably randle and hope murray gets injured

In Godgers I trust! Haha, since I traded for Rodgers it's been working out. On a bad night he delivers 20 points, and with Lacy getting more work recently in the pass game is a plus as well. It's a high variance strategy, but im rolling the dice.

Hill's vakue takes a hit with Gio so he might be the odd man out for me.

in the next few weeks though, are you ever going to start herron? and if lacy gets hurt, would you rather start starks over herron? thats what id ask.

this is my thinking. right now i have 2 rb and 2 wr i will always start. my bench guys are exactly that, bench guys and will never get starts. because of this i'd rather drop them for higher upside handcuffs.

Need advice on how to handle situation in my league. 12 team league, 2 divisions, 6 in each, obv.

Last year about 1/2 way through the season the commish announced in our Facebook group what teams from each division would make the playoffs. Ie: at the beginning of last season in our ESPN league, the rules just say 'top 6 teams make playoffs' (regardless of division), and this was reflected in the 'playoff projection' , again 1/2 way thorough last season commish came in and said " FYI, it's the top 3 teams from each division that go to playoffs", there were no objections last year and commish just edited when playoffs came around.

Fast forward to this season, league is setup same way in ESPN (note: some people dropped out from last year, and several new people in league this year). Rules still say 'top 6 teams make playoffs' (regardless of division). This year, commish made no announcement about 'it's actually top 3 from each div that go to playoffs'. Here we are now with 1 week of regular season left, very tight playoff races for almost all. One of the new guys comes into the FB group and makes a posted about being mathematically eliminated (which is true under top 6 overall format), another guy (not commish) that played last year comes in and responses to that post with "your not out b/c it's top 3 from each div, so you still have a shot". And this begins a debate.

Obv there is a confusion as to what the correct league rule is, and it has not been addressed by the commish yet. Some of the vets from last year are arguing that it should be 'top 3 from each div' because "that's what we did last year", yet there was no announcement about it this year, especially not to the new players in the league.

My objections is more ideological, I think it's terrible to change the rules in week 13, regardless of the rule. There was no announcement made, and people have been playing the whole season based on the rules posted in ESPN. If th commish came in, in week 4 or something and made a post about it, I would be ok, but not in ****ing week 13.

Thoughts?

that lineup should always be starting ellington/lacy jordy/gordon/benjamin

if the question is, who is better to have on his bench herron (who's never going to start) or starks (a handcuff) then id rather have starks. especially with crowell there in case something else goes horribly wrong, or there's a matchup thats super favorable

My thoughts, in no particular order, are:

1) you have the worst commish in the world
2) you need to quit the league if he continues as commish
3) If there was any question as to the what rule was going forward, you and the rest of the repeat owners in the league are incredibly slack for not insisting on clarification
4) Absent clarification, I would have assumed that the rule from last year carried over to this year.

Def starting Starks over Herron if Lacy is injured. But the same applies for Hill (and Starks) as well... So I guess the question I am asking is between Hill and Herron which has more potential? Hill's value is tied with Gio whereas Herron can possibly out perform Trich and if so I don't mind starting him at Flex since he's in a high octane offense...

The most likely thing scenario is where both Hill and Herron stays on my bench since Crowell is looking good for the feature back roll in Cleveland and my flex is most likely between him and Benj

Is there a waiver wire thread this week? And if so where would I find it?

I mean it's obv a stupid situation thanks to a terrible commish (and having divisions in the first place is wtf stupid), but would anyone really have done anything differently if they thought it was one way or the other?

Even if so, doesn't leaving it as top 6 punish those that were playing under the assumption that it was the same as last year?

I don't think either side has a super strong argument so I'd advocate just going with what makes the most sense and doing top 6, regardless of lol division.

It really doesn't matter who he starts. If he's intentionally setting his lineup in a way that he feels will give him a better shot at losing, he's tanking.

What do you guys think of Stafford this week/rest of reason? His matchups are awesome but he has been awful. I think I have to start him this week and hope, but is it worth it picking someone up from waivers to start if he struggles once again?
NFL Fantasy Football General Discussion 2014 Quote
11-25-2014 , 04:01 PM
I think I would give him one more chance since he plays Chicago and their "secondary", but I think what we've all thought for a while has been proven this year. Stafford isn't very good and Calvin makes him look competent. With Calvin out/struggling most of this season, Stafford true colors have shown.

This would also depend on what other options are out there.

Yea the other options would be rough- like Alex Smith caliber. Also who do you guys like more as a waiver pick up that can be a plug and play starter- John Brown or Jarvis Landry? Both have one great matchup, one below average matchup, and one brutal matchup during playoff weeks.

I said at the beginning of the season that I was low on Stafford. He's a rich mans Matt Schaub (circa 2009-2012) he'll win you some games but he's also gonna straight lose some for you too (in INT heavy leagues especially).

starks has been the lead back before and it wasnt pretty. hill is an ok start with gio, and a must start if gio is hurt.
