Like movieman I'm new to this league too but I agree with WW. You should be able to put the guy on IR then put your roster to 20. But I also understand the point of "out" players being able to be place in the IR spot.why can't we make both happy and in the "offseason" until rosters are updated we can only carry 21 if the person is actually on the IR. Once the season starts then we follow the yahoo rules.

Can I cut my kicker and defense? If I can but no I have to get down to 20, then I cut Quincy Enunwa and Tajae Sharpe. If we can keep an IR guy, then just cut Sharpe.

If i can't cut my kicker and defense let me know.

the problem with that is that some of the dates/timing would be arbitrary.

say we finished our draft before the 4th preseason game, and then one of my players gets hurt. can i put that guy on IR and get back one of my cuts? no, that would be ridiculous, right? but the "season" hasnt started yet, so why does it matter? or what if we finished the draft before the NFL designates its IR status? ware was "out for the season" a couple weeks before he was on IR. so its then razors job (and all of ours) to keep track of who was cut but on a "do not pick up via FA" list?

i feel like its best to just keep things simple. you have a 20 player roster size and once the commish starts the league, you can make any roster moves you want to, ie put guys on IR

I get what you're saying but by season I meant when our yahoo league becomes active. Once our team are in and we can make moves the "season" has started.
