So I did this EXACT thing twice this year on winning teams and this happened once last year in this league for me: I was in a position to WIN without a kicker and did so. Literally done for the same reasons (ie you don't want to drop a player for nothing).

In reverse how it plays out is if I'm down 50 (the way I was projected to lose this week), I'm not going to drop Dan Bailey to lose by 43. That's 100% legit, and I dressed every single other position with the win in mind. Now as it played out I got close enough today that I did drop a player to dress a kicker. But had I been down 30, I was certainly not going to do so. And anyone with this amount of IR/PUP players would be able to do the same. At some point the long term competitiveness of your roster is more important than losing by 7 points less. How good a player does one have to drop to field a meaningless K? Exactly. It's not like I'm benching my top 2 WR's...
