Mortal Lock office going to be put to the test this year.

Based on what the interns present me, I take it to the VP of Mortal Locks, and he reviews it with his team before we all go to the President.

This process is taken very seriously. I was actually offered the VP job, but because of my health I elected to turn it down. I get all the joy of announcing it, without all the workload the others have.

So what are the best options you guys think? Just null the trade or make another trade for AJ Green?

Null the trade, reset the assets back to each team, and let those dudes figure out a new arrangement. I doubt it'll be hard for them to figure out a new permutation that doesn't involve a pick that doesn't exist.

I agree, seems like the best option to me as well.

Well there's this whole brutal butterfly effect thing that happens if traded players/picks (from an illegal trade) get retraded. Or like if Green hadn't gotten hurt and say Dan had won the championship thanks to Green.

Lots to think about. Rawlz suggesting there's a platform that could prevent this might be the most intriguing option.

Imho if we stay on yahoo and this happens again and there's a scenario where players in an illegal trade were then retraded, imho you probably can't undo all the trades affected. It's gotta be stiff penalties, voiding playoff wins, etc...

If this occurred because of a spreadsheet issue I don't mind being the league scribe and doing daily updates. As my co-owner mentioned this would have been worse if there were other trades or if Green won the title for his new owner.

It's not at all a spreasheet issue, although I totally accept you being the scribe. We need one.

This happened because in the offseason yahoo doesn't have trades. So when Dan traded his first the first time, yahoo didn't know. Commish had to manually enter it and probably just missed it.

That said the onus is still on owners to catch this stuff, we should all know if we have our own first rounders or not. I mean Dan is an animal, he trades so much half the time he probably doesn't know what league he's in. But the rest of us should catch it.

Really I get Rawlz now. Yahoo is not a great dynasty tool outside of week's 1 to 17. There is probably indeed better out there.

In my defense I am in like 20 leagues lol. I am good with anything that comes from this tho. I think the key thing will be making sure after offseason all picks are right and we make sure all picks deals are done in yahoo

My super sleeper a couple years ago was Corey Coleman and last year Courtland Sutton. Lol that should dampen your excitement a bit.
