Should just use natural rounding laws, imo, but keep the true value on the spreadsheet going forward. ie a 9th round: 9/2=4.5~5th rounder. Next year: 4.5/2=2.25~2nd rounder

If the 50% keeper law gets passed I saw we stick with this as the odd numbered round rule.

@donkonemore, hopefully that helps you decide, option 3 was the suggestion by dontdoitplease a page or two back, actually since DDIP didnt send me his vote when he paid, i would assume he'll vote for option3 as well, so in reality option 3 has majority at this point...

this is what were rolling with (can still make small adjustments obv but think we should adopt this since everyone's spoken, voted etc)

**Keepers value increases by 50% each year (with no cost first year)

• Example: Say you luckboxed cam newton as an FA, this year he would cost you an 8th round pick. year 2 would be 4th, year 3 is 2nd and every year after would be a 1st.

-odd picks will rounded up (9-5-3-2-1), no max years on keepers

-at anytime u have two keepers worth the same draft pick value, you would lose the round and the round after it (ie I have 2 keepers worth 4th round picks, I would lose 4th and 5th round picks if I kept both)

-All FA acquisitions that are used as keepers are worth an 8th round draft pick if kept

I suggested an idea to wave. instead of randomizing order we can put all 12 names on random.org and in order from 1-12 they get to pick their draft spot

Thats pretty interesting.. Be an interesting decision at around 6-7 on when to opt for 12

I like this idea. I think we should do this ever year too.

I don't remember how we decided the draft order last year, but I thought it was playoff bubble boy gets #1 overall. I think bubble boy should get his pick of draft position then so on down the line.

As a theoretical aside, how many keepers would be necessary for a non-snake draft (based on inverse standings obv) to be fair?

Should we make it 2 days for weekly waivers? Right now its at 1 day, I think standard is 2 days.

I've never been in a league with yardage used for DEF/ST, usually just points and sacks,int.,etc. Seems like it puts a little extra pressure on having a decent defense, not sure if this is a good thing or not.

Have we decided on how the draft will go for every year after this year? I know a few ideas were thrown out there, but was a decision made?

The defense yardage is new to espn this year

i thought standard was 2 days as well, default was at 1, was going to ask about this...

i eliminated yardage points points for defense, it's new this year and since no one's likely ever played with it i just took it out since the negative points are quite large, if people would like to vote on it thats fine too

i also had to adjust points allowed scoring since they were made lower than usual by espn likely because of new yards allowed system:

PA0 0 points allowed =10
PA1 1-6 points allowed =7
PA7 7-13 points allowed =4
PA14 14-17 points allowed =2
PA18 18-21 points allowed =1
PA22 22-27 points allowed =0
PA28 28-34 points allowed =-1
PA35 35-45 points allowed =-3
PA46 46+ points allowed =-5

that is what defense scoring for points allowed looks like now (pretty much standard for any league), with no yardage points

is everyone in agreement with wesrwood's idea, we would have a random draw for draft selection, then instead of drafting in that order people would get select what draft slow they would like (instead of just drafting in that spot)

ie. i get the 1st slot, i can choose to draft in any of the 12 slots, if choose 1, then whoever is 2nd can choose to draft anywhere but #1 etc... the last person would be stuck with whatever draft slot is not taken by the 11 people before him...

I'm down with giving it a shot.
