If you played Smith Sr in a 50/50 cash lineup would you adjust to look for higher ceiling guys now to catch up on points or just ignore and pick your roster the same as you would've before the Thurs night game started

The GPP I'm playing him in on FD (80K entries) has him owned at 23%... Less than I thought.

I'm not so sure about that. Cowboys are getting Mincey back this week, their best run-stopper on the D-Line. I think Ingram will have a good day, but don't expect a Freeman-esque performance.

Well, when the reciever in qustion is 6'4" and outweighs them by 10-15 lbs or more....then I would say yes. Pretty basic concept that bigger WRs are more successful in the red zone when facing defenders that are physically (weight, height, reach) smaller than them. Link requested would be to Pro Football Focus, but the info quoted are premium statistics behind a paywall

Does this have something to do with their price to performance ratio? I'm have no idea what 3x/4x means.

I think his point is more a 6'2" CB is near the top of the range for CBs. So he's not an "undersized CB"

i am struggling with martellus bennett. i want to play him because the raiders cannot stop tight ends (see browns tight end last week) but i think clausen is terrible obv. but mccown is also terrible and his tight end with for 100 and a td...

I googled to see if Cutler was playing and saw this:

Right now, Cutler is on pace to miss another game for Chicago, barring a miracle. He's been limited in practice this week, but he's dealing with a serious hamstring injury. According to the Chicago Tribune, he had bloodstains on his pants Thursday.

How does a hamstring injury bleed?

I think Bennett is a solid play this week given Raiders can't defend the TE and who else is Clausen gonna throw to? He did have 5 targets/4 recs last week against a much better defense. Forte should keep enough drives alive so that the Bears are not just punting after 3 plays, and if Clausen is allowed to throw it, it's gotta be Bennett (especially w/ Jeffrey out). Should be good play for DK with full PPR.

ok, although I am pretty sure I stated he was undersized compared to AJ Green (who outweighs him by 10+ lbs and is 2" taller) thus making it a plus matchup, not so sure why everyone is keying in on my stating Jimmy Smith is undersized when its obvious that I was making the statement "Green beats up on undersized DBs" it was in relation to the matchup vs. AJ Green- not as a blanket statement about all 6'2" 200 lbs DBs (duh)

anyway as an aside an above poster referenced that the Chiefs will be getting back one of their top defenders in Sean Smith (who plays on the opposite side of the formation vs Green and thus will not be covering him) but neglected to mention that KC lost starting DB Philip Gaines for this week - who is one of only 4 DBs in KCs secondary to NOT grade out negatively this year (well, almost.. -0.3 per PFF)- to injury which will leave the -12.0 graded (per PFF) KC pass coverage unit with some big holes to fill, long story short start Green everywhere regardless of the fact he will be 20% owned, the only thing KC can do is stop the run (+20.8 rushing defense per PFF), which means Dalton and Co. will be airing it out again this week

some TE named Gary Barnidge destroyed Oaktown for like a **** ton of FP last week, I think we can take a flier on the Black Unicorn in this one

looks like a slight upgrade may be in order for Martellus Bennett with Alshon Jeffery already ruled out for week 4

I go Fitz the majority of the time when Luck is a bit questionable. I'm a scrub NFL player, tho, so take it for what it's worth.

How many lineups are you guys running in both cash and gpp? I'm still trying to find a good strategy . Any tips are appreciated . I'm pretty new and have been doing some research but I can only manage about 40% cashing. This week I have about 60 lineups .

I'm still new myself but have done pretty well through the first 3 weeks this year. 60 seems a bit crazy to me though (assuming you mean 60 different lineups and not the same 2 thirty times). I've been doing a core lineup or 2 which I'll throw into everything then maybe 5 of 6 where I swap out just a few players outside my core guys that week to diversify. If you're just trying to cash based on volume that may be fine but if you're going for a higher roi it seems like you'd prolly lose money based on your lineups canceling each other out to some degree. But again I'm new at this

yeah i think if cutler was playing martellus would be a near must play in cash game formats against this raiders defense, but clausen is just so bad... but i guess if mccown can get his tight end 100 yards and a 1 td against the raiders, i think clausen can also...
