lineup construction, import/export, and managing multiple lineups is the absolute nut low on fan duel. draftkings is soooooo much easier and user friendly in that regard.

Used to prefer DK but they have done some things lately to turn me off and now I may be switching to preferring FD. FDs cash game ecosystem is light years ahead of DK. If ever/once FD improves their software it will be game over imo.

On that note FDs cap this week is mega mega tight imo while DK has continued their looseness.

Tried FD first and see no reason to go elsewhere. Perfectly happy where I'm at.

Kickers is the only reason to need.

I couldn't Imagine playing for significant money in DFS with kickers in play.

so how does rake work on DK and i suppose FD

if the prizepool is 2 million guaranteed is every dollar over 2 million taken out so the prizepool is never more than 2 million or is it like poker where it is a 25+2 or something

How much softer are the beginner games compared to the regular ones of the same stake?

I think it is only a matter of time before both DraftKings and Fanduel get rid of Kickers and Defenses. I think they should do...

QB
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
WR
TE
FLEX

FD has stated that they have no intention of removing kickers as of right now.

Gio not practicing today.

Hill gonna be 1000% owned if Gio doesn't play this week.

Fan Duel has said that their casual and recreational players prefer kickers.

i would why that is? do they think it is an added element of luck that gives the pros less of an edge?

Casual players don't have thoughts remotely close to this. If it looks like their season-long league then they're happy.

Am I supposed to believe that FD would get less business if they removed kickers?

Played Graham in every one of my lineups last week, and he was one of the cheaper kickers available. I've yet to pick a kicker who has scored less than 10 points. It's not all luck. Game flow and matchup analysis will tell you a lot.

Playing a QB for more than $7500 (DK prices) or so seems like a huge leak in a gpp, especially one with a top heavy payout.

The absolute ceiling for a qb is maybe 50 pt, and that's an all time great game, maybe once a year you'll see that. Paying $9k for that output is obviously great, but you can do much better with someone in the $5k-7k range on DK. That extra money towards WR TE RB makes all the difference. If you catch the guy who costs $9k and puts up 50, you likely will brick out on at least one other position, wheras if you get someone like Ben or Flacco or Cam on the cheap and they explode, you can still have plenty of cash free elsewhere. I think paying $8k+ for a qb cuts down your ev and chance to win dramatically, what say you?

Not gonna go through my whole "never make hard roster construction rules" rant but the short of it is that every week the DFS landscape changes and thus winning strategies change. Some weeks there is plenty of value at RB/WR/TE that allows you to pay for Peyton/Luck/etc.
