1. TCT is leaving. We need a replacement. If anyone knows of someone let's get them in asap.

2. On a similar note, let's start getting paid up for next year. And obviously if you are leaving let me know.

3. Baseball is back open. Please let me know what trades need to be processed. As we saw if we don't keep up parts of deals can fall through cracks.

4. I will post a draft schedule soon but if anyone has start date requests now would be a good time to make them known.

If they never had the player/pick to begin with though it really isn't even a trade. They obviously deserve to be punished for it but I don't think they deserve to lose an arm and a leg for a mistake that was easily amended. If there were circumstances that led to it being detrimental to a team to reverse the trade (Injury/Made other trades/etc) then I would be fine with forcing them to give a different piece of equal or better value. But in this case it was something that was easily amended so a reversal with him giving you 20 FAAB since it was his first offense is fine with me.
We could do it like
1st offense:20 FAAB back to that person (Could be more if people wanted, like maybe 30-40)
2nd offense:3rd round pick in sport of your choosing
3rd offense: 2nd round pick in sport of your choosing
Or something

Pretty sure he resolved that, not like he'd be holding money anyway and he was a good owner when he was with dan.


Edit: Wasn't really a scam either, pretty sure his gf spent all the money he was holding and he paid everyone back for it. I personally have no issue at all with him being in the league.

TCT's team has a ton of good young pieces, just send this to whoever you think would be interested and it shouldn't take long.

He is not losing an arm and a leg tho, its not about giving me something extra, its about giving me the same value. So he is not losing anything, and he is not being punished, by giving an equal value.

My suggestion was NBA 2019 1st, which is a worse draft class than 2018, so its not like Im greedy. But the league rules ****ed us over with ut not being able to swap the 2018 pick for that. And I said I would do any mid 3rd rounder NFL too. A mid 3rd rounder NFL instead of NBA 1st is not a punishment or losing a leg lol.

RE Wes, I think he is involved in a bigger mess than before, with him not having the money he bet with others on 2+2 forum. Id prefer not to involve him, as he does not seem to have his **** together, lost count of the amount of times he banned himself from the forums, would be such a mess if he did that midseason, which is.... all year around lol.

re: Melo -- Melo was only on Hurps team for like, a couple hours, it's not like he really shifted anything. hurp tried to trade something twice that he didnt have for him, so like SIU said, the trades never really happened imo.

it's a lot more like when someone picks someone up who's on a AAA, which i think weve said is a $20 faab fine (although no idea if its been enforced), so that seems about right.

Once again, your focus is on what happened here, when the focus should be on a guideline on trades. Because it doesnt matter if it was for a few hours, are we going to have a different rule when its 17 hours? 34 hours? 48,5 hours?

I honestly hope this happens again, with another trade simultanously that would make them have to drop a new required asset, or with an injury, and I would like to see whoever was involved be fine with a 20 faab compensation lol. I can promise you, that suddenly whoever it happens, will feel like a trade should be a trade.

But as I said, I will go with league consensus, and it seems like you guys feel like a confirmed trade is not necessarily confirmed, so I will obey. Somehow I always get ****ed up by the rule interpretations.

If a trade is easily reversible i.e. nothing material has changed since the trade, I think this is fine. In Othello's example, if Melo was in a dirt bike accident during the all star break and broke his leg, a material change would've occurred and I think I would definitely be obligated to complete the trade. As it played out, movie noticed the mistake not too long after the trade. I think Othello's arguments are valid but it's not applicable in our particular trade because the situations are different.

see above. I get your points, but nothing material had happened in between the trade completion and when someone realized the mistake. If he had broken his leg or something material had taken place I think I would be obligated to find a trade to compensate you. As played the most logical solution would be to reverse the trade that was not legal to begin with.

I don't see this as being up for interpretation. A material change is pretty irrefutable (Melo gets traded, melo has a new injury, melo or another player involved in a trade accrues statistics, etc.).

(I'll just start with a caveat that I'm really hungover, so forgive me if I don't make total sense)

To your first point, you're right, we shouldn't be looking at how it actually played out. But to Hurp's below point, if nothing material changes, I'm not sure how to punish him, per se.

I guess also, what would the solution be? That Hurp is forced to find a trade with you? Presumably once he can trade 2019 picks? Does he have to give you value for Melo from a few weeks ago or at the time in a couple weeks?

To your 2nd point -- buddy, I'm gonna have lost out on Dragan Bender for no good reason and have to overpay for Lou Williams, who never did anything for my team to begin with, so get in line re: screwed by rule interpretations

This league is getting ridiculous with the amount of drama and confusion going on. It’s already cost us one owner and who knows who’s next. I think Dan has put a lot of work into this over the years and when two owners can’t come to an amicable solution we should look to him for a final decision on all matters. If this stuff keeps happening I’m sure TCT is only the first to go...

I don't think there's the drama and confusion that you are claiming. I think there's a few issues but each of them has a reasonable resolution that's right there.

As for TCT, he told me it was IRL obligations that had him leave and nothing to do with the league.

As far as the to-do list, we can start knocking these off one by one. They are not that complicated, in my opinion:

I'm starting a mega thread for trades that need to be resolved. I started moving some players but I realize the managers have the freedom (I think) to wait until roster cuts? Anyway this should be a good reminder for everyone.

I intend on going back in the thread to get everything since the 2017 baseball ended, but at the end of the day, if I miss something the onus is still on the manager to remember and process their trades.

This has been fully resolved (Rodriguez has been added by me and Sisco/Montgomery are now in Movie's section of the AAA tab)

Lynn has been added to SIU's roster

I can't process this until Kaka moves the ineligible player from DL

Faria will need to be moved to Movie, but he said he'll wait until roster cuts

yeah, both SIU and i said (i think over PM) were both fine with whatever dan/hurp comes up with as fair if we couldnt figure something out. SIU i was gonna PM this to you too but just gonna post here -- id just as soon let dan/hurp figure out what is fair since were all gonna value things differently for our own team (ie lou being a better fit for your team than for my team so were gonna value him differently) and that kind of thing just gets slippery. whatever dan/hurp come up with im fine with since i have full faith in their objectivity
