This post calmed me down. Thanks jrock.

It's wayyyyy too late to start changing drafting amounts or adding asinine rules like "no adding rookies to your roster"

So, we're good here, right?

Yea. All good. Just throwing out options

So how do we deal with rookies who are called up mid season who weren't drafted? Just like normal FAs?

Yea. It doesn't seem like we are going to agree on any changes. So any players called up would be able to be bid on.

Calling up prospects in season seems terrible, but ok

and what exactly am i gaining here with the 6th pick? i can cut a prospect to put in my roster right away?

seems fine for this season but worth bringing up for next year. its only really an issue for baseball

Its kinda the tough thing about this league, there is no true "off season". So when you say, bring it up next year, do you mean during basketball season?

yeah, good point, i meant during baseballs offseason since it doesnt really apply/become an issue for football or basketball.

So since we are just about done with draft.. Here is what it looks like for waivers

Once Baseball rookie draft ends (and everyone sends me there emails so I can start ESPN league), waivers for baseball will open. You will have a budget of $300 to cover ALL sports. For baseball waivers will process on sundays.

Waiver claims can only be made after the rookie draft of a sport (and they close after the championship game). so waivers for football will not start until after that draft.

In the case of baseball this year (and other sports) an undrafted rookie may be won by bid once they are called up. Unless others are opposed, I would like this rule to end when September callups begin. Far to many prospects are brought up for a cup of tea and wont reach 30 innings for 130 abs and complicate things. I would further propose (and I would like to figure it out soon for future pick trading sake) that next year the minor leagues in baseball will expand to 10.

I thought it was 50 innings, not 30?

+1 all looks good

where will the waivers be managed? google doc?

also just want to clear up what happens to leftover waiver $. does it carry over year to year?

Waiver themselves will be managed by ESPN. Since you cant pick up players till after a draft, itll just work like this year where the draft ends and all rosters are moved to site where waivers can begin.. I will keep track of the overall money in the google doc though to make sure everyone knows how much money they have. And no carry over

hope it carries over. wouldnt make sense to just lose the waiver $ if we decide to save it.

If a lot of people want carry over, that is fine too (just need to decide asap). Though would prefer a max amount someone can have. Dont want people selling off waiver $ at end of year and someone getting a huge amount

wow

we really should have hammered out a lot more details prior to the draft

if you dont want someone to load up on $FAAB, dont sell them yours?

If a player becoemes eligible in ESPN fantasy baseball, then hes eligible to be rostered imo

ESPN typically has prospects in their system that they think might come up that year. They were my main concern. If no one else minds, then its fine.

As for waiver $ carry over, we had only talked about it not carrying over. Wanted to throw out some things that could occur if we switched

id also be in favor of carry over waiver $

can espn manage the $300 across all sports though? its $300 TOTAL for each year (baseball, football, basketball, in that order), right?

we can trade waiver $?

i think its fine to do this stuff now since theres still 3 weeks till baseball starts

to be fair, i dont think that the waiver stuff really influenced the draft

the minor system and mlb call ups maybe a little but i dont think dramatically so.

espn tends to put nearly anyone its in universe so i wouldnt necessarily just trust them.

we can do something where if we pick up a rookie (someone with rookie status) using waiver $ then they have to go to the minor squad, and still keep it at our max of 5 for this season.

adds strategy and limits stock piling

Are you even able to setup custom FAAB amounts per team on ESPN?
Multi-Sport Dynasty League Interest?? Quote
03-06-2013 , 03:58 PM
Yea. Can enter any number. Going to start everyone with 300. When other sports open can deduct what you want to move to them
