Keeper rules:
5 keepers kept, at least 1 hitter and 1 pitcher
Keeper cost: The 1st year a player is kept they cost the round they were drafted in.
2nd year: +1 round earlier
3rd year: +3 rounds earlier
4th year: +6 rounds earlier
5th year: +10 rounds earlier
If you do not have the draft pick to keep that player, you may keep that player for +1 earlier round. If you do not have the earlier draft pick, it takes the next earliest round. For example, John Doe is a 6th rder, but you traded your 6th and 5th pick, John Doe costs you a 4th rder.
You may keep a MAX of 2 players per round.

If you trade for a player, his keeper cost is the round he was drafted in.
If you pick up a player from FA who was drafted, his keeper cost is the round he was drafted in.
If you pick up a player from FA who was NOT drafted, his keeper cost is the last drafting round.
A max of 3 FA's who were not drafted may be kept per year.
Keepers can be kept for a max of 5 years

Can someone list the guys that have already been kept five years and will be back in the draft pool? It makes a difference in selecting my keepers. I could do it myself, but as has already been proven in the thread multiple times, I lack clarity on the situation and got mixed responses that didn’t help.

Also 10th/11th are correct for Correa/ Syndergaard. This is the last year either can kept
FWIW I don't think those are correct rounds as 5th year is +10 rounds, so if they were 14/15th last year I believe they would be 4/5th this year.

Anyone in this list with a year 5, 5th, or 5 after their name goes back into keeper pool this year... all others won't be known until keepers are finalized, so you have to make educated guesses to come up with a list for example... I can keep Scherzer in the 1st, but 99% chance I won't be given no value in doing so, so he will be available.

I think it's +10 from the original round they were kept?

Nearly positive this is the rule

Thinking more I am pretty sure Syndergaard was a 22nd round pick. Year 1-22, year 2-21, year 3-18, year 4-15, which would make year 5-11.

I know for certain he was drafted and not a waiver pickup

Maybe I'm wrong. That doesn't make sense. Clarification needed

Javier Baez on the block. He can be kept in the 8th round (2nd year keeper).

Looking for a 6th rounder.

Nope its not from original, it would be from prior year.

I really don't think this correct after thinking about it. Can you see all of our draft results from past years on the desktop? Can't find it on mobile. If Syndergaard was actually a 22nd round pick as I believe he would have been 12th round keeper last year.

I'll probably have time to back through the thread and investigate tomorrow if movie doesn't chime in on the matter

It's from the prior year.
The number of rounds the player jumps increases each year.

For some reason this league does not have any archived data from prior seasons. In all my other Yahoo leagues, on the main page there is a drop down menu where you can change the year and view draft results, message board, transactions, etc from every previous season. Not sure why but that's not available in this league.
But I'm 100% certain that the round bumps listed are from the prior season, not from the original keeper round.

Like I said I'm going to look through the keeper lists from years past tomorrow.

I can see I'm outnumbered, but I'm stubborn lol. Fully admit I trust my own memory to a fault sometimes.

I'll compile some data to sort out what the precedent is

Correct that it's the prior year. I have a Google Doc that I think a couple guys are shared on that has every year.

Also, do you know why the bolded would be true? Is it something I can change in the settings or something?

Also how would folks feel about starting up a Slack for the league? A few other leagues some of us are in have moved to slack and it’s way easier and more fun
