i would be supportive of pming the inactive owners firsy before replacing them. at the very least i would support the commish setting an active roster every week.

If they don't respond to PM's then I'm also in favor of replacing them ASAP.
At this I dont even care about the half empty lineups as much I do about a new owner being able to get in before the trade deadline so that they have a chance to improve the team outlook with draft picks/keepers for next season. Its going to be way harder to get someone to take over next year, than it would be to take over right now this year (for a free 1/3 of a season in which they can make some trades).

I played one of them (wOBA Fett) last week, and the other one (Cunning Stunts) Im playing right now.

I'm against making any rule changes mid-season; it's a bad precedent to set in my opinion. We should put activity guidelines and anti-tanking measures in place, if we so choose, and accompanying procedures for violations in the off-season.

Just someone to take over and manage the inactive teams.

If we did have someone take over, it would have to be analyzed and done in a fair way imo.

Meaning, for example, I would suggest we look at how many times each team played Woba since his team became inactive. I don’t think it would be fair to have some teams receive more “bye weeks” than others.

Agreed. I know I still play each of them in the remaining weeks, so would suck to be at the huge disadvantage given cs3 judt played both of them and has now overtaken me in the standing as a result.

Fwiw I'm def not trying to gain any advantage here. Im the one who brought the issue up over 6 weeks ago (on 6/11) way before I played eitjer inactive team.

And even though I did just play both of them, but I wouldn't call it an advantage over you anyway DDP, since you played Stunts week 8 and won 11-0 and then played wOBA week 10 and won 12-0, thanks in large part to the same inactive players everyone else has faced.

(I also played both teams in the early weeks when everyone was atill active)

Well, that would be a rule change because we currently don't have any rules about inactivity or the procedures to address it.

I would suggest looking at when the inactivity started and then ensure that every team has had the "opportunity" to play the inactive roster once for fairness.

I agree that finding a manager mid-season is going to be pretty tough, although it'd be kind of a fun challenge for some. However it is hard to find someone who wants to jump into this situation and then be committed next year. We can give it at try but I think the most likely solution is going to be the commish (or me, i don't mind) fielding a full team for the rest of the season after the inactive teams have played everyone an equitable amount, then finding new owners after the season.

I can look at the two inactive teams and determine when they stopped making lineup changes later this week

Stunts sent me a trade offer today, so he's at least back online. Before that his last league activity on the site was I believe July 4, and before that there was a stretch of inactivity as well. (I checked last night, so I could be off by a day or two, but its pretty close)

Not sure when it started, but I played him once a couple weeks ago and went 12-0. It's been going on long enough I think everyone has played him at least once.

When talking rule changes I'd like to see an ammendment after this year where last place pays double.

yeah im all for a rule we can add, and agree with yankeys we cant add a rule now.

the reality (looking at it now) is that we have 21 weeks in the regular season, were in week 16 now and no one plays every team twice. so theres no totally equitable option other than leave the team as is. which sucks, but is fair. he says (above) he hasnt really checked his team, and the scores sort of reflect that.

that said, if we can fill the owner now id say we should. but again, thats not an issue unless we find someone. finding someone in august to take over and make some FA moves isnt easy, so i dont think its a huge issue until someone wants to take it over

Commish, can you push these trades thru? Albies and I agreed to trade on Tuesday, still hasn’t been put thru, meaning unless it gets put thru now, I risk not getting my player until Saturday? That’s ridiculous.
