Guess I can go back in my email and count all of the "ticket" emails I've gotten because going through the history is a total joke.
That's basically what I do it for. But every day I download my new data and import into a spreadsheet. If I won a ticket and I add the value to that into my winnings otherwise my results get double counted negatively since it'll say I lost say $10 in the sattelite/happy hour and then lost another $25 if I don't cash in the tournament I ticketed into.

Re: MLB 2015 DFS Thread

for the fanduel thing what i did was i separated it into different database tables based on what it was

and in the title of event they tell how many seats win, so i used that info to determine if won or not. so in the db it looks like this

i haven't played on FD since they switched the live scoring though so not sure if it'll still work

There is no best as they are all slightly different and serve different purposes. I use SQLite because I do everything locally and don't need server capabilities or user rights management. I'm guessing most people use MySQL though.

Re: MLB 2015 DFS Thread

Anyone have a link to a DK Tuesday/Wednesday wildcard round tournament? I didn't end up entering but curious what the winning teams looked like and forgot to check. I'm just looking to see any of the tournaments with > 1000 entries or around there just to see general ownership percentages, I'm having trouble finding tournament links were published that day, probably due to the limited slate.

Winds blowing out to RC (14 mph)at wrigley and citi. Stack your lineups with lefties! Hammel has given up 15 HR at home- I would avoid him.

Went with Piscotty even though he's a righty. Also went with a reliever for the first time ever. Going with Kershaw and Jansen. Jansen at $4k saves me a lot for offense. So far so good.

Nice one! I've never gone with a reliever before. Probably isn't a bad idea.

It worked. Jansen outscored Lackey and Hammel and was only outscored by a couple of points by Matz.

heh rotogrinders went from bad to completely unreadable nonsense since the scandal broke. very little reasonable discussion about the actual issues and alot of conspiracy theory crap and idiots who think that couple hundred they lost was a cause for lawsuit and craziness. here atleast mostly reasonable good posters. just not a ton of strategy baseball talk

Re: MLB 2015 DFS Thread

Sorry for the bump, but couldn't find a better thread for this question -

I'm considering attempting to make MLB DFS a side income source in 2016. I've never played before, but I'm pretty certain I'd have the aptitude for it - poker was profitable for well over a decade until I no longer had time to play, I have an engineering degree, I'm willing to spend a few thousand dollars learning, I know baseball and advanced stats well, etc.

However, I don't know where to start. I'm willing to put in effort. Are there services, podcasts, forums, e-books out there I can dive into? I've played season-long rotisserie for many years, but I don't see how that translates. I'm probably more interested in cash games than GPP's, but could be convinced otherwise. I'd like to spend the time before the season starts learning theory.

Do I need to figure out how to make my own projections, or are there reasonable services? And I'm really starting from scratch - I don't even know the basics of lineup construction. I know NFL DFS reasonably well if that matters, and have never played any other sport.

Thanks in advance for any responses.
