MLB DFS has crazy high variance for sure. But that's what makes it fun (I think).

I agree, but I just play recreationally. I can see where people who play professionally or play for a part of their income would be frustrated with MLB compared to NBA or NFL because I do think the variance is highest in MLB.

Does anyone know how to get regs to stop scooping up all of your heads up games on fanduel? every time i create a bunch of games half of them are taken by the same person.

IDK if there is a solution right now, I hope Fanduel uses the same formula DraftKings does where you can select how many times a single player can play you. I have stopped creating H2H's on Fanduel because of this.

The community has been asking for a matchup blocker on FD for a while now and it's never been a priority of theirs. Doubt it happens any time soon.

I don't get why anyone would create H2H first, unless they were looking for condia type action. I don't play H2H anymore, but I would always pick my games from available opponents.

This has been an issue since 2010. FD won't match-up block for the same reason DK won't cap entries: They need to meet revenue projections to keep investor $$$ flowing. So they need the biggest spenders on the site spending.

Triple ups were a great addition IMO. Single entry, good way to diversify opponents, easy to calculate break even.

Another thing you can do is post 5 H2H at 10AM, 5 H2H at 12PM, 5 H2H at 2PM etc. If you post 30 all at once you're open to getting scooped for more.

Thought experiment:

You give Harper 4 ABs vs Arrieta and Mayberry 4 ABs vs Robbie Ray. All other things equal (park, defense) at what odds would you take Mayberry to outperform Harper? +200? +300? +400?

Had 15 LUs yesterday most I've ever done, experimented with 13 stacks for gpps and the other two were random assortments for gpps, made a slight profit, wanted to take out a few of the lineups but wasn't able to since it was close to deadline

You could copy condia's lineups daily and it wouldn't stop people from sitting you if you don't have several thousand mlb wins. So enjoy paying 10% rake vs. regs on your first 5k games if you're dead set on playing h2h.

This is the worst day for pitching I've seen in a long time. I might just sit it out because I don't think I can come up with two pitchers for a DK lineup that aren't total crapshoots.
