It's never made sense to me why a single + SB is worth 8 points on DK, while a double is worth 5. It probably means I should be starting guys like Billy Hamilton more often though.

With four steals last night, he'd have been a great pick. Stolen bases do seem to be overvalued on DK. I think K's are too. Triples too, but a bit irrelevant since you can't stack guys for their triples potential.

I do try to think about whether the base-stealer I'm considering drafting is facing a lefty or a righty. So I may have leaned against Hamilton last night, except for the fact that Lester is a lefty that refuses to make pick-off attempts.

Hamilton was 4k and hitting 9th. If you are spending 4k on a 9 hole hitter hit me up, I'll play you any day HU for any amount. There's a reason he was like 1.2% owned.

Yes. I think I'm saying knowing what kind of game he had, now in hindsight, we can say he'd have been a great pick. I'm not really arguing that he would have been a great pick at the time the pick was made. In the same fashion, when players who seem like fantastic picks pre-game proceed to fall on their faces, I don't go through the rest of the day thinking they were great picks. Hindsight is not easily ignored.

I'm never spending more than 2500 on DK for anyone hitting in the 9 hole. I'm almost 99% of the time never rostering a 9 hole hitter

so last week fd sends me an email that if i play some tournament theyll enter me into a $1000 freeroll for tonight. sweet! play the tournament that i never would have played and got entered into the freeroll today. the "$1000 freeroll" is a tournament that pays the top 800 players $1.25 each. wtf.

speaking of which, yesterday straight up forgot to check weather. first time all year. just spazzed and forgot to look at it. ofc had 2 players from stl game on fd and got swept and had 3 players on victiv and lost 2/3 of my contests, most of which were by like 3-5 pts. just sick. god i am so bad at this. when does football season start again???

IMO only one game has a good chance of getting PPD. If you can figure out your SP I don't think there is very much risk on the hitting side.

A few credits shy of my meteorology degree, but the Reds/Tigers and Indians/Cubs games are the only ones I'm really worried about not getting in. Do with that uninformed opinion what you will.

yeh agree. keuchel has gotta be overdue for a felix type blowup. he's been so damn consistent. rather pay up a bit more for tanaka against a marlins lineup that's never seen a pitch from him.

I don't like Keuchel much in general. His K upside is very limited (notable exception that game against Quintana a few weeks back). He's struck out 5 or less in 26 of his 42 starts since last year (4 or less 18 times). He's had 7+ 12 times (5 of 13 this year). And it's not due to a lack of innings he has a 19.8 k% this year and 18.1 k% last year.

yeah i pretty much agree. my projections love him tonight but im feeling very uncomfortable about it. but, as ive already kinda hinted at, ive been uncomfortable with his success since the start of last year now but he still goes out and puts up a solid start every outing.
