I really disagree with this logic. Say Mark Cuban comes home discovers his wife is passed out on the bedroom floor and not breathing. He calls 911 they rush her to the hospital and the doctors come out and say if you want us to save her life you're going to have to give us $7.3 billion dollars.

Should they be allowed to do that just b/c they know he loves his wife and would be willing to pay that much to save her life or should he pay the standard going rate for hospital services and not be punished b/c his income is public?

O RLY?

YOU TOLD ME TO STOP MY BITCHING.

man whatever at this point...... thats pretty offensive to me, especially when I was right about this, but whatever I probably don't give 2 ****s about this league anymore, **** IT!

That's quite the analogy.

and yes, we did eventually tell you to stop your bitching - by that time the auction was over. You were getting repetitive and we kept going having refer you to the rules or things we already discussed publicly. And as i pointed out earlier, me and you talked about this double $X issue SPECIFICALLY 4 days into the draft, i told you all i knew - which for me was enough to avoid upping my own bids. I wish i had decided to alert the league, but i didn't think to at the time.

You know what I'm the ****ing jackass.... I don't care anymore.... please refund my buyin to my co-manager and get me the hell out of this league. Its seriously wasting my time and now I was wasting your time by asking too many dumb questions, when you're the one that offended me with the stop your bitching ****...... thats all.

semi-predictable blow up. i was expecting it last night though.

i don't know what to tell you about a refund, but you're prob not gonna get one. feel free to sell the team though. or just let this blow over. we're trying to be as fair as possible and i don't want anyone, including you, to feel offended or screwed over.

WELL MAYBE APOLOGIZE FOR TELLING ME TO STOP MY BITCHING WHEN I HAD A MOTHER ****ING POINT.

Instead you 2 *******s, and I'll own those words now, b/c you've gone and pissed me off really good.... instead the both of you cockwads point the finger at me and still have time to make little snippy comments about every other post I make.

Fine don't refund the money, I'll send the $200 back to my co-manager myself, but I'm not going to spend another 2 secs in a league where I apologize, get no apology in return which is whatever.... but there's no way in hell I'm going to tolerate the insulting comments making me out to be some ******.

Like I told my manager at the last restaurant I worked at, I got better things to do with my time. So draft whoever the **** you want for me the rest of the way. I'm out.

EDIT: talk about amazing. Its amazing to me that you 2 A-holes still think telling me to stop my bitching was the right play. Wake up and smell the God Damn coffee.

(seem a little anticlimactic to just post a pick with all this drama)

I'm reminded of the T-Cat that wanted to fight everyone in the thread who was making fun of him. When was that, like, a year ago? Forgive me if I've remembered it incorrectly.

We can't review the "bitching" comment since it was in the auction chat, if I understand it. But what do you expect, that Karak and Exit should have known about this, despite the fact that they're doing a ton of work on this league, for free? And they should have launched a comprehensive investigation because you said Fifield's bids looked suspicious? You think you were treated unfairly, and hey, maybe you were, but yes, everyone is inclined to be a little less patient with you than they otherwise would be because of the amount of long-settled discussions that you've rehashed, agreed-upon rules you've challenged, or asked-and-answered questions you've raised.

And yet I don't get the feeling that an apology is all you want: I mean, if you're willing to walk away from $200 and all the time you've invested because of a perceived slight, then you probably weren't a suitable owner anyway.

Hey, so what about Coff? He's spending all that time with the Phillies league . . . will he inherit a team since he was interested in the first place?

Tc you bitch A LOT. It's completely reasonable for someone to tell you to quit your bitching, even those that have agreed with your general premise. Your reaction has been way out of line, karak and exit are both good guys trying their hardest to make everything as fair as possible.

I feel like I should say something at this point, but I really don't know what to say.

I just wanted this league to be as fun, fair and challenging as possible. I worked really hard on it, and I am really proud of the system we came out with. It's not perfect and it needs tweaking, but I am having a lot of fun. I hope others are too.

I was really looking forward to the season starting and was happy with how smoothly things were going so far, especially considering that it is our first year. I'm really sad to see all this happened. I hope it won't affect anyone's enjoyment of the league, and we can resolve and leave these problems behind us and march on.

If Thundercat is truly out on the terms he stated, then I'm sure we can find a replacement player. The ffield situation will be dealt with fairly and equitably and any solution will be offered to the league to vote down if they don't like it.

This league is about fun, not contentious arguing, flaming or anger. I'm sorry all this happened, but I don't really think it's my fault and I'm not sure what I could have reasonably done to prevent it.

No worries Karak, you and Exit have done a great job. There's only one guy who disagrees, and he told you to go **** yourself, so whatever. The Fifield thing is an annoyance but it's blown up into a bigger thing than it is, IMO. We'll sort it out fairly (we're pretty close anyway), and we can find someone to replace TC. Overall I agree that things have been going well.

If Thunder doesn't come back and apologize, we should just use a rule for his pick, e.g. best ranked remaining player on BA's top 100, or something. We'll need to use his picks in order for someone to be interested in taking on his team.

Exit,

I don't want anything to be done with my buyin, until I've gotten a chance to talk to my co-manager who put up the money for it. I'll email him and see what he wants to do.

Levarkin,

Coff won't "inherit" anything b/c he didn't put up any of the money for my team's buyin. also the bitching comment is ITT. I'm not walking away from $200, I'm reclaiming my time b/c this league isn't fun anymore.

Thay3r,

I geniunely have respect for you, so I'll just say this. I don't wanna be in a league where its "completely reasonable" for the commissioners to tell a player to stop his bitching when they bring up a valid concern. Thats fair right?

What? From Pecota? In reference to T-Cat's continued complaining about there not being a luxury tax, when we had agreed from the beginning that there would be a hard cap?

That can't be what he's talking about.

I ran a search on the thread and could not find "stop bitching" or any variant thereof.

Then again, if I had, it wouldn't change anything.

i think you have a sort of decent point but i don't think ray has been unreasonable at all

he's spent so much time doing things for this league to make sure it's as good as possible and he's getting nothing for it besides his own satisfaction- he's made the spreadsheets/run the auction/and done the best he can to answer every question you had (which was a ton...go back and read the thread)- maybe "quit your bitching" wasn't the best choice of words but you continued to ask questions where all he/they had to do to answer was quote old rules enforced

you're overreacting and being completely unreasonable when all karak/pecota and especially ray have done is do their best to make this league as good as possible with no experience
