What is everyone's thoughts on the trade counter window. We went to 12 hours, iirc there was worry last year it wasn't long enough when applied at night (people sleeping for majority of 12 hour window).

So in this scenario, we are wanting to go even less. But obviously it's for good reason to not hold the draft up. But in fairness, I would think we should at least establish some bare minimum. For example, trade counters go from the usual 48 hours to 12 durning the draft/auction. But during the rookie draft they can be decreased to 4 hours (or something) in the event that the draft is being held up?

12 seems fine; it's a bit annoying, but we don't get so many trades that it will really hold up the draft. We've been doing it for a couple of days and we're already around a third of the way home.

Having said that if you made a judgement call every now and then to reduce it to four, depending on circumstances, I'd be fine with that too.

Four hour window for low impact trades like rookie draftpicks and salary cap space seems fair to me. Could even make the 4/48 designation always in effect based on whether players are involved: no, 4 hours (between 8:00am and 8:00pm ET) to clear, yes, 48 hours to clear. /2c
