Pecota we're not talking about a counter offer though. The original trade was on the clock for 24ish hours.. Then it got countered... Then the counter got countered (by unrelated parties to original trade) thereby putting the original trade back in place..

So you're saying once a counter is made, all subsequent counters fall under the same 48 hour window? That works for me, if that's the case. We'll have to clarify that in the rules later, doesn't really specify.

I think you need a minimum time on the clock to allow for any further counters. It's a bit unfair if we go back to the original deal and people who might want to counter, or who may even have been talking previously about a counter deal have no time to sort out a new deal.

Rack and NDFan made a deal, 24 hours passed.
I countered to Rack.
Then Alekhine countered to me... Which put Rack and NDfans trade back on.. The question (that doesn't realllly matter) is what is the clock on Rack and NDFans trade now.

i think the easiest way is to just have a bright line rule: anytime a deal is forged, meaning it wasn't in effect 1 minute earlier, it starts a brand new 48 hour clock.

since this deal was initially called off by a counter, it ceased to exist and is now newly forged.

does that make sense?

I think that's the easiest way to deal with it Karak. I don't think anyone really gets hurt if we just use that policy.

k all cuts are in, and auction is updated for 12 of 13 teams... karak has yet to join so i can't load his team yet.

Jonny Venters isn't on the software for some reason, so i put Yordano Ventura on Muckfaces team as a placeholder.

Salaries for most players are right, but some had to be modified to account for traded salaries/minor leaguers/etc.. it's just aesthetics, all salaries are maintained on the spreadsheet.

A few teams budget are a dollar off in either direction from what the spreadsheet shows - thats because the spreadsheet sums the salaries before rounding (i'll fix that eventually)... auction site has all correct remaining budgets.

Pending trades are shown as if they were completed - if you're one of the teams that's waiting on a trade to go through, be aware of this. (Those trades are: Rack $60 to Fifield for pick, Rack and ND hamilton/yadier deal, me and alek leonys/posey)

and finally, when i was setting up the auction i forgot to put OF as a required position and i can't change it now. just another aesthetic thing. when you see your team rosters on the auction site it won't have a place in the starting lineup to put outfielders - just know you start 5 of them.
