Hey I was going to post ITT earlier this morning, but I was like man I've slacked off so much I don't even know if I can get up to speed.

I was always really excited about the concept of this league though. If you feel like you understand the technical side of all of the signing rules and everything thats been laid forth ITT that I haven't gotten a chance to back through yet and you're just looking to go halfsees on the buyin and would like a co-manager to keep up with day to day stuff thats me.

7 paid, 4 more confirmed going to pay, havn't heard back from 3 (two of which wanted a co-owner), 1 dropped out.

Think we're looking at 12-14 again instead of 16 unless some more people show interest. Thundercat you should PM Coff, he seemed v interested but wanted a co-owner to get in.

Whens the midterm karak? hopefully we can get a near-final draft of the league rules up by saturday and possibly start auctioning by sunday or monday?

Another thing we need to do is collect email addresses of owners/coowners, 2+2s PM system isn't good for contacting a list of people, and I think update emails during the auction will be good to keep people from forgetting to check the thread for a day.

ANOTHER thing, is i was thinking we should tweak the auction to nominate a player a day but only have the auctions completed after 48hours, so that if an owner for some reason can't check in with the thread for a day they can't get screwed out of someone. obviously if we all would rather not do that that's cool with me, as my schedule likely won't keep me from the thread for a day.

I think I last checked this thread back in early December. I know back then alot of the rules where up for discussion and I had a few concerns about what direction they were going in. I've tried to skim back through this thread but its 300+ posts and I just don't have the time right now. Although I did see your post with the salary structure and I really like the idea of keeping a $100 million cap b/c thats close to what real mlb teams do and of course the minimum player salary should be $400k since thats what it is in the mlb as well (although I thought it was like $408k or something like that).

But what I'm getting at here, is would it be fair to ask to see a copy of the league rules before I sent my entry fee in?

Also, I definitely understand the pressing time constraints of getting everyone drafted b4 April 4th. Having the league rules in place and agreed upon by all teams b4 the first player was drafted with be worth it imo. If necessary the auction process could be delayed a few days maybe even as much as a week and you just accelerate the number of players auctioned each day. Although giving it a full month from at least March 4th would be best.

An acquaintance of mine who runs several fantasy leagues just got out of a month-long stay at the hospital... he is taking a break from fantasy and he asked me to run his leagues and take a over a few of his teams while he gets his life in order, so I will have to pass on this one.

$100m salary cap, 400k min salary, auction through a thread here over a month to set 25 man rosters. players can be kept on your team up to 5 years for a 20% payraise each year. after the auction we'll have a 10 man normal style draft for minor leaguers who can be moved up to your 25 man on a rookie pay grade. auction before future spring training for free agents, draft by reverse standings for new minor leaguers.

Have a rough draft done, but I want to give it one more look over and change a few things before I post it. I have a dinner meeting at 6:15, but after I get home from that I'll polish it up to the best of my ability and post away. I may just post a 2nd or 3rd rough draft.

I also wanted to make an abridged version of the rules that "quick hits" all the major points.

When is the draft? I'd potentially be in once I saw all the rules and everything in one place.
