Yeah, we really should be auctioning by March. I also think that we should be prepared to go with 12 by then if we need to. We've soaked up most of the interest coming through this thread, and while I wouldn't be surprised if we find two new owners, we shouldn't force it.

I find your proposed payout a bit top-heavy, maybe something more like $600/$400/$250/$150? Also I think Karak had proposed something much flatter for year one. And $50 for a loser's tax, I would think, that's more than enough for an incentive to remain competitive. $100 is pretty rough.

I think we've got most of the personnel rules in place. Is there much holding us back other than finding two more teams and getting the money in?

if the $50 from last place goes to the $600 i like your payouts.

Cool. So when we get to the auction, each team will propose two players to get started on, so 28 players total? And then if a player is acquired (a team isn't outbid for a period of 24 hours), the team that proposed that player proposes another one? That way there's 28 players in the bidding at all times. Do I have that roughly right or did I misunderstand you process?

The one that i copied from iamawesomer was 1 nomination per team for 14 being bid on at one time. we can (and probably will have to to fit it in) bump it up to 2 nominations once we get our feet wet with the process.

I don't think we even need to reduce the starting line up parts if we did that. I think we can keep 4 OF'ers starting (Johnny Damon/Ryan Ludwickish level), and 48 1b/3b (Rolen/Loney) and thenMIF can go. I think we'd be fine w/ 16, which sounds like fun to me. and not to keep repeating myself, but we could just make that decision after we see how many people pay by this weekend (once they have a way to pay)

you are well known enough that i think everyone should trust you, and i think it's better to have someone who uses their poker account often and moves money in/out than someone like me who doesn't play much during school and rarely withdraws/deposits.
