How come the min bid is $1? Shouldnt we all just be bidding up to $4 when we Nom a player?

Exit said he didnt submit our rookie teams bc they arent draft eligible anyway. I had mentioned the same thing when I saw Chris Sale was out there.

I don't see the issue w/ Austin Jackson, he's on your active roster already as a year 2 rookie. edit: if you're referring to the letter R in the last column, that's new - but just for easy record keeping. i keep track of what year in the contract every player is, and then they either have a N for normal contract, R for rookie contract or, M for still in the minors. Because after year 3 rookies jump to 10, while N's still do 5%/$1.

Chapman is still on Primetime's minor league roster, so he looks available, but he's not.

I would have entered all the minor league rosters except they dont have all the players on their list. so i'd have to just enter some and then teams would be different sizes.

Just don't nominate a player for auction if they are a rookie.


re: $1 minimum bid, yes technically we're supposed to start at $4 for our league, but this software won't do that. I could ask everyone to manually bid it up to $4 themselves, but it's probably just easier for me to after the fact change any player that goes for <$4 to $4. Feel free to start them off at 4, but you don't really have to.

also karak pointed out to me during the last trade, we're supposed to have a waiting period after trades are announced where teams can receive counter offers from the other teams. its his version of a veto system. i don't think anyone actually received a counter offer last year, but assuming Banhammer confirms the trade - i'll wait like 8 hours to process it incase anyone does.

I'm not totally opposed to the idea of trading Cano ($63 in 2011), but it would need to be for a similarly elite player on a very good deal - Cano is obv way undervalued at $63. Interest in 1B/OF/SP.

I'm going to leave the auction running for 90 minutes more tonight. This will allow peopel that can only get on late at night to get their bids in, because not everyone will be around when i reopen it tomorrow morning.

if you're having trouble opening it juts keep refreshing, it will eventually open up.

to be clear, it will be paused from midnight to noon, hopefully all the problems are resolved by then.

lol at noon being "morning," but pausing the auction sounds reasonable given how ****ty the connection is right now. I tried adjusting my roster so maybe I could nominate someone, but got locked out, so it's an issue.

also, Thayer went on a bidding spree and now no player is due to be sold for the next 17 hours.

So i don't think pausing it is going to be necessary.
