So this scenario came up in one of my leagues and I want opinions.

JOES traded Leonard Fournette, Jax RB to Drak
JOES traded DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR to Drak
Drak traded Brandin Cooks, NE WR to JOES
Drak traded Antonio Brown, Pit WR to JOES
Drak traded Latavius Murray, Min RB to JOES
Drak traded Sammy Watkins, LAR WR to JOES

Now Joes has to drop 2 players to make this happen and 2 things occur. He drops a player and makes a trade with Antonio Brown. So he moves forward with another transaction. He then loses his last weeks matchup and complains that he thought his trade wouldn't go through until after the weekend and states that said player he had to drop would have won him the game. (he tied and lost by said tiebreak scenario RB yardage)

So, he makes a trade, further makes a 2nd trade with player involved in first trade, then bitches that he thought trade wasn't good until TUE strictly because he lost his matchup. First trade occured prior to early kickoffs Sunday, second trade took place later Sunday evening. Is Joe right or wrong?

I was 2nd person who ended up with Brown. In doing so, I used my waiver wire pick to get Alex Smith because I traded away Aaron Rodgers to do so. After the waiver pick and his complaining, The 2nd trade to me has been nullified and now I have 2 QB's, wasted waiver on Smith and no Antonio Brown.

Joes is responsible for knowing when trades will take place, imo

Antonio Brown physically made it onto your roster and the commish reversed it?
If this is true, then DRAK did not trade Antonio to someone else.

none of this makes sense to me. how did he trade a player that was already locked in to a trade? you also have to identify the players you are dropping in an uneven trade like this when it is accepted, then they are dropped when the trade processes otherwise you would have an illegal roster

ignoring all that, basically you thought you had a trade pending on the results of a trade that hadnt finalized yet? imo that means you had nothing, a trade doesnt exist until it is proposed and accepted in the platform

Yeah. Sounds like the OP is saying a verbal trade = a trade which is simply not true, IMO.

the trade in the OP was the first trade. I then acquired Brown from Joes. Then Joes tried to cry sour grapes.

Drak traded him to Joes, as per the OP, then joes traded him to me later that evening.

so brown was processed and actually on your roster then taken off?

Yes, because Joes made a stink come Tue morning after he lost. Everything was A-OK to fire another trade Sunday night. The whole thing was crazy even having trades occur Sunday while games were going. I had Rodgers in my lineup and was after he played so obv I was accepting of whatever outcome, but also that Rodgers was "in my lineup"

I would think since games started that trades would not go through until the next week. It's a players responsibility to know all rules but that seems pretty standard to me.

It all worked itself out, imo. I ended up getting to trade away Rodgers and getting Brown. I'd say Karma played into this guy trying to pull some wool.

The buy in worth of stuff, I'm in; sex with Joe's wife... I'll pass.
