What kind of time commitment does modding require? Don't think I can promise any guaranteed activity.

you need to move everything and close this forum, otherwise it's a pointless venture. i see some guy i've never seen before posting in the season-long thread that got shifted to the season-long forum asking start/sit questions - the point of that thread is to catch stuff that isn't otherwise covered in the trade thread/weekly start or sit thread/weekly waiver thread/bbv thread. having stuff in two places is ridiculous

Re: Fantasy Sports Forum Structure Discussion and Potential Mods
One of these two things should happen:
The Fantasy Sports tab should be moved so it's next to the Sports & Games.
Or
The Daily/Season long forums should just be sections underneath sports and games.
And yes, all threads need to be moved and this section should be deleted entirely.

Re: Fantasy Sports Forum Structure Discussion and Potential Mods
this change is pretty dumb. no reason that daily should be separate. really dumb to be forced to click a bunch of links to go from the general thread to the daily thread.

Re: Fantasy Sports Forum Structure Discussion and Potential Mods
rather than splitting anything up right away, the previous fantasy subforum of sporting events has been moved entirely to it's own forum under the new category.
if wanted/ warranted the category will expand in the future.

Not a big deal yet but I disagree. DFS is expanding rapidly and some people are making real money, even playing for a living. I doubt if any of the sports betting regs want to merge with POG or OOTV.

Re: Fantasy Sports Forum Structure Discussion and Potential Mods
It's not stupid to separate things that have very little to do with each other. Both full season and DFS are fantasy sports just like Stud8 and LHE are both poker. Like I said it's not a big deal right now, but there are several 2p2 forums with less traffic than full season/DFS would each get and who wants to wade through irrelevant ****

Re: Fantasy Sports Forum Structure Discussion and Potential Mods
Nobody nominating Victor for mod? I mean he's been in a bit of drama in here, but no more than any of the SE mods have been too.
For me it's Victor pretty high near the top for modding this section. He's also one of the biggest contributors.

Re: Fantasy Sports Forum Structure Discussion and Potential Mods
Has there been consideration for a sub-forum for DFS coaching, or a spot in the marketplace for it?
I know it is small now, but the writing is on the wall (and based on where 2P2 has placed their forum links on the side bar, I assume they will be betting big the forum is a hit). It is highly likely that DFS will quickly overtake poker (in the US at least), and would not be surprised if in 3 years time (or less) becomes THE top gambling format, especially as more international sports are added.
The structure and info in the DFS forums seem haphazard to me. Truth is I get my info elsewhere, and just started to pop in to chat a bit in the LC threads. While it's very manageable for its current size I can see things (assuming it takes off) quickly getting out of hand.
It's an emerging industry where most folks lose (and have fun doing it) in the long run, and that often brings the vultures, and right now it doesn't look like the forum is set up to shoo them away efficiently.
