Introduction
Following the success of World Cup 12X we’ve developed a new, improved and extended season-long version for the 2014/15 English Premier League. Same simple format but now with multiple buyin tiers, monthly prizes, and the ability to edit your own selections each week.

How It Works
Predict the results of each week’s Premier League fixtures by simply marking 1,2 or X. Points are based on market odds, and are awarded for all correct predictions. All selections and scores are tracked on a private Google Document, and there is a 48-hour window each week in which players can submit or edit their selections.

In the above example we have selected :
- Arsenal to beat Crystal Palace (we will score 15pts if correct)
- Chelsea to beat Burnley (14pts)
- Leicester and Everton to draw (35pts)

Entry cost / Prize pools
The entry fee is $50, and mic_check12 will be the escrow. There's no need to send any money yet, as we're only gauging interest.
The $50 entry fee is distributed as follows:
- $30 to the Overall Pool (which covers the entire 2014/15 EPL Season), with payout percentages according to the number of entrants. Specifically, the payouts for the Overall Pool are linked here.
- $20 to the Manager Of The Month pools, of which there will be 10 (Aug-May). $2 per entrant will be paid out to the top-scoring entry of each calendar month. MOTM pools are paid on a Winner Takes All basis, and are split in the event of a tie.
So for example, if there are a total of 50 entrants:
- The Overall Pool will be $1,500 and the top 5 will be paid.
- Each MOTM prize will be $100.

There are three additional (optional) side pools for extra interest:
- $200 Season-long pool
- $500 Season-long pool
- $10 “2014 Trophy” (Winner takes all; Awarded to highest scoring entry up to Dec 31 2014)

How To Enter
PM your email if you're interested, and you will receive a detailed explanation of the rules, logistics, entry fees and prize pools. All entrants will be given access to a private spreadsheet that will display all selections and leaderboards for each of the multiple pools.

The World Cup edition attracted a total of 79 runners; hopefully this one will hit triple figures and create a fun sweat for the whole season!

note for future: you want to use bcc when emailing loads of ppl. No need for every person to have 200 random contacts in their gmail and otoh if one email is hacked now all these random contacts will get spam bc of that. Also if I were you i'd set up a completely separate gmail account for this to not have my personal email flooded

thanks, yeah it's not my primary email but I wasn't aware that drive would send it like that till it was too late. Just added the contacts group to the permissions and sent email notification.

Have people started paying yet or should we wait?

I wouldn't bother yet, not least because Matt is off on holiday any day now. I'll start pushing for entries towards the end of the month; the only reason for putting the thread up this soon was to maximise interest from the WC players.

Us Yanks have such ****ty online betting options that these kind of pools are best for me. No way to get around the ip detection and get a bet365 or paddypower or whatever else Euro betting account is there?

I imagine there is, but then cashing out becomes a problem I guess. You're probably better off soliciting private bets with posters you trust.

I'm sure IKTS will still be popular; I for one will def be in. Also Matt runs a $20 (I think) LMS which gets a good field, you should join that too.

Not gonna bother bumping or sending any more emails for now as it's clear the vast majority of interest will come in August. Already got double figures of certain entrants though and there's little doubt we'll exceed 50 for the main pool.
