How long would you have to wait for the stat corrections?? A day two days?? The stat corrections are not going to happen at 5 am....basically you are just as likely to be the beneficiary of a stat error as the loser on an error...people only remember their bad breaks not their good ones...

Stat corrections are relatively minor normally.

Would people prefer the sites wait two days to pay out??? In summary there are a lot of crybabies and excuse makers in the world.

So they took away points when you thought you won or there was a stats error?

maybe schneidermann will take up your argument...bottom line is if they discovered a scoring issue before the end of the contest they probably should correct it...I think draftkings uses stats inc. it's probably good to have some policy on this or an independent stat service.

Bottom line is whatever correction occurred could have easily benefited you as it happened to hurt you in this instance.

I would assume they have some sort of policy.

My problem was the lack of communication. It was the early NBA slate and the games were over but the contest just stayed in the live section of my account for 4 hours. I'm not sure what happened. I'm assuming a stat correction . I went from 5th to 7th. And yes I know it could have easily benefited me but my issue is in those 4 hours they didn't say anything I just happen to notice I dropped in the standings

What are they supposed to say? If your contests are still showing up as live, then they are not yet official. I've seen times when, because of technical glitches, they don't go official until the next morning. I play a lot of NHL and its not uncommon to see fairly significant corrections because they finally determine that someone deflected a shot into the net and should get credit for a goal etc. Sometimes it works for you, sometimes against you, but they appear to be operating in good faith and trying to be as accurate as possible.

holy ****, 4 whole hours!?!

What did you want exactly? A phone call? An email? As chippa said, your contests still being LIVE means that they are not COMPLETED. Pretty standard.

If they paid out immediately and a major stat correction was made three hours later that would have put you ITM or whatever, you'd have made a post bitching about that too.

I often wait like 12 hours for most soccer contests to be paid out. Lol at complaining about 4 hours with no communication.

I've seen them take a while to be paid never seen a stat correction so late apparently it's more common than I thought

NHL didn't pay until mid-afternoon the next day once this year because of a scoring issue in Edmonton. They did post a banner on the site saying what the issue was though but that was an exorbitant amount of time.

You obviously don't play much DFS if you've never had a contest have a correction after payouts were held for a bit. 4 hours? lol. DFS contests regularly payout with incorrect stats and you are somehow complaining about stats being corrected.

I play tons of dfs and maybe I've had contests get corrected but it was never my score so I didnt notice. The only sport that regularly takes awhile to pay out is UFC

Is there any difference between this Betfair commercial and Fanduel's.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g4P6KwdTWs

Their are disclaimers in Fanduel's commercial concerning average winnings and bonus clearance, very difficult to read but they are there.

I shouldn't ask,but I'll bite. What exactly is your point? The previous debate was about ''misleading'' commercials. What the hell does the legality of Betfair have to do with anything?

Seriously? I dont know why I need to spell it out for you...

You are trying to use the similarity between a DFS commercial and a commercial for a gambling site that is BANNED in the US, as a reason that DFS should be allowed in the US.
If you cannot see how your logic makes zero sense, then there is just no point in discussing it with you.

Betfair isn't banned in the U.S. It is legal in NJ and Billy makes a valid point. Betfair does not disclose its $1,000 bonus in any prominent terms that I can see. Only that you need to go to the site for details.

Betfair has a history of misleading advertising charges in the UK. Google "ASA Betfair" to see the list.

That isn't what you implied. Also, Betfair operates online betting sites in about 30 states.

Can you clarify what you mean by "operates online betting sites", (aside from a licensed online casino operation in NJ), so that people do not misunderstand what is meant ? Are you referring to online betting on casino games, horse races, sports matchbook, traditional bookmaking, DFS, or what ?

Betfair has a variety of dbas that accept OTB action in racing states. The most common one is TVG.
