The time seems right to stop dancing around pretending that the UIGEA was a stay out of jail free card under existing State gambling laws. Get to lobbying for legislation at the State level and at the federal level, to amend PASPA to provide for real States' Rights regarding sportsbetting and DFS.
Keep in mind the status of these same companies in the UK, where they received real money gaming licenses. The NFL should man up and admit its fan base LOVES to gamble on its games.
If you read the NFL commissioner's comments I don't think they will ever come out publicly for full scale sports betting. He will not even publicly support the dfs sites even though some of his owners have investments in the sites. NBA may actually support and mlb does have some partnerships with Dfs.
The NFL commissioner is a hypocrite. He pretends publicly the game is above gambling but it benefits tremendously from it. The NFL is a product that is getting worse and worse because of rule changes that needed to be made for player safety but it's rating keep going up due to gambling and fantasy.
